One half of the WWF Tag Team champions, Spike Dudley, and Chuck Palumbo were guests on The Stranglehold radio show last night. Both interviews were taped before matches at the WWF house show in Rolla on Saturday.

Spike shared it was kind of a nice reward to have beaten the Dudleys, but it was more about he and Tazz being the perfect team to beat the Dudleys because of their long history of battling each other. Things don't really change creatively as tag team champion, he still gives 100%.

The chokeslam from Undertaker from inside the ring to the outside was "pretty brutal" and one of the stiffest Spike has ever taken. There was no padding on the outside, but that is what Spike does-- he's a little guy who gets beat up by the giants. Spike shared he does kind of revel in that role, the comparison of David and Goliath. He'll wrestle anyone and can be more offensive with smaller guys, but he does prefer or is most comfortable working with the bigger, 300lb plus guys.

Just waiting to see what the nWo will be like.

Time in ECW was special, but has moved on. Didn't think the tease of a rebirth back in July was even that, since ECW could never be recreated in a corporate structure. Still misses seeing and working with some of the guys, but his loyalties are with the WWF.

Expects the belts to be challenged by Billy and Chuck, Scotty and Albert, the Hardyz, the Dudleys, and whatever combination the nWo provides in the future.

Chuck Palumbo began his interview by sharing that he had played basketball in Rolla while a member of the CMSU (Central Missouri State University) team.

Chuck is getting some ribbing about his new character from family and friends, but it's all in good fun. He's comfortable with himself, which is important in a gimmick like this. Thought that Sgt. Slaughter, Pat Patterson, and some others in creative came up with the idea. Palumbo was afraid that his hair would fall out from the bleaching, but it's doing okay.

Initially, Chuck thinks the fans may have been caught off guard and wondering what was going on with the tag team, but now they see through and laugh along.

He still talks regularly with the former members of the Natural Born Thrillas. Chuck believes that Mark Jindrak and Sean O'Haire are the only two still under developmental contracts, the other guys are working indys. They all still talk, with them giving feedback and Chuck telling them to hang in there. Hopefully some opportunities will rise for them if and when the promotions split.

Thinks the return of the nWo will be a good thing. Kevin Nash and DDP were the two veteran guys that stepped forward to work with Palumbo and the other guys when several vets would not. Nash has always been great to him, so has Hogan in sharing ideas and advice. Spoke with Hogan last week and he said he just wants to come in and do whatever he can to help out.

Undertaker has been the number one guy to help since Palumbo arrived in the WWF. Billy Gunn, HHH, William Regal, and Fit Finlay have also been there. Palumbo said that honestly, all of the vets are willing to work with younger talent if the effort is there in return. "It's a team" and they all want to succeed.

There are no wedding plans for Billy and Chuck, and that will not happen. Their characters are about being so into themselves that it makes the guys sick and provides some laughs for the ladies.

Would love to get a shot at the tag titles, Billy is an 8-time winner, but Chuck has yet to wear gold in the WWF. The plan is for some kind of tag team elimination match at NO WAY OUT. Singles, or tags, Palumbo doesn't mind and just wants to do well.
