Jerry Lynn was this week's guest on Chairshots Radio, broadcasted weekly out of Westerly, Rhode Island on 88.,1 WBLQ FM and on the interest at http://www.chairshots.com. Your host is Rod Siciliano, your special guest host is Bill Alfonso and Brian is the man with the plan behind the board.

Jerry Lynn

-Bill tells Jerry he misses working with him. He talks about the matches between RVD and Jerry in ECW.

-Jerry offered to go to Louisville but the WWF didn't want him there. He tried getting a hold of J.R. but had no luck.

-Jerry said he's not bitter, just a little insulted. He says it doesn't matter to them if you can wrestle or not anymore and doesn't understand why. Bill thinks he got hosed.

-He called up the WWA the day before the PPV and asked if he could work. He didn't know they had a show the next day, and they asked him if he could be there for it. He says he hadn't wrestled in 7 months and he didn't want to disappoint anybody so they asked him if he could do a run in instead.

-He says he doesn't know if something was going on behind the scenes that led to him getting canned. He didn't have any problems with anybody and was just happy to have a job.

-Rod asked if Heyman might have something to do with him getting cut. Jerry says "who knows." Bill said that Paul is full aware of the capabilities of Jerry Lynn and wouldn't dream of getting rid of him.

-Jerry says his problems with Paul at the last PPV in ECW were business not personal and didn't carry over to the WWF.

-He says Vince is always busy but if you have a problem he's very approachable. He said no one tried to work out a character or a gimmick. He says nobody has ever figured anything out, even him self. Rod says his gimmick is "he's damn good in the ring."

-He went to a camp by Brad Rheingans. He did a few TV tapings for the AWA before they folded. He was in the USWA for a little bit then went to the GWF down in Dallas. He had some fantastic matches with Sean Waltman (X-Pac) down there and he loved it. He says they were both willing to trying new things. He says it was similar to what he did with Rob Van Dam, just they were on the indy scene and trying to get noticed.

-He says he tried getting hold of a couple people in the WWF's office about his situation, bu he couldn't get in touch. He says no one wanted to be the bearer of bad news.

-He was told that they were going to start a cruiserweight division when the WWF splits, but he isn't going to sit by the phone like some jabronie waiting for them to call him up.

-He says his time in WCW sucked. He says the J.L gimmick was supposed to be a "power ranger" gimmick for the kids. He was there a year. He says when he heard the name "Mr. J.L." he knew they would never do anything with him. He broke his arm working Dean Malenko, and when he came back they had all the Luchos so the mask didn't mean anything by then.

-Bischoff used to say the enhancement guys were as important as the main eventers. He says it was a crock. Bischoff pretended to not even see you if you weren't one of the top guys. He says you know a company sucks when you are paying guys 6 figures and are getting a push and they still hate working there.

-He went to the WWF and got a try out against Taka. Paul figured he must've gotten out of his WCW contract for him to do that and got Chris Candido to call him up. He watched some of the ECW matches, and told Chris he didn't want getting hit in the head with a frying pan. Chris said he wouldn't have to worry about it, because they had their guys that could wrestle and the ones that could brawl.

-He said ECW was the most fun of his career. He said it was never a dull moment. Bill agrees.

-He says the matches against RVD were the most special to him. He says he had some awesome matches against Lance Storm, and Naniwa in Michinoku Pro as well as Sean Waltman, but the Van Dam series is his favorite.

-He talks about his match against Steve Corino. He says Paul always gave him a shove when they needed to put someone over. He knew Corino was a bleeder and wanted to do something new, which is where writing "die" on himself with Corino's blood came from.

-Georgian Markoplous is one of the people helping him book. If you e-mail her you can book him for a show. He plans on returning to Japan and is looking forward to it. He also hopes to look at Jarrett's new promotion if they get started.

-He says if he knew that the WWF was going to edit his offense out of his RVD match on Heat, he wouldn't have risked his neck so much during the match in the first place.

-Bill says Jeremy Borash is considering him for a spot on the WWA's next PPV, and hopes he's there to work with Jerry.

-Bill asks Jerry if he owes him money because his bell is still ringing from the chairshot he got from the second RVD PPV match from ECW. Jerry laughs, says his bell was ringing so hard from getting hit by Van Dam he hit the wrong person.

-Jerry says goodbye and Rod and Bill talk about how great of a wrestler Jerry is. Rod says its not what you know but who you know. Bill talks about seeing him in Vegas, he couldn't believe it when he told him he got cut from his contract. Rod says there is no one better to head up the cruiserweight division anywhere and asks what in the hell they were thinking. Bill says he's a fantastic teacher too and can't believe they didn't take him up on his offer to go to Louisville or Cincy.

-Bill Alfonso and Sabu are scheduled to work the UCW show in Dayton on Jefferson Street on Saturday night.
