Great Britain's talkSPORT radio presented "Revival" on Saturday 2/9 at the Crystal Palace Indoor Arena in London, England. This is a virtual transcript from the radio coverage of the show, which broadcast from 8pm through to 10pm UK time. the show ran from 7pm onwards, which means that at least an hour will be missed out in this report.

The Show starts with a jingle "SWAT presents Revival" - with Tommy Boyd voicing over a World War 2 style report. I'm not going to comment on this, as Boyd impersonates a load of grandmothers watching 70s British Wrestling. "The Yanks have got a scrap on their hands, the Brits are fighting back" - and a "Blood Sweat and Tears" promo.

We cut to the Crystal Palace Indoor Arena, where Boyd introduces the show, Revival. Plugs Alex Shane, Eddy Guerrero and Brian Christopher. Guerrero is wrestling and Dean Ayass and Mark Priestly commentate.

Mark Priest welcomes us to Eddy Guerrero vs Scott Parker. The match is joined in progress. Guerrero whips Parker into the corner, leading to a ref bump. Alex Shane run-in and inadvertently hits Parker with a chair. Guerrero hits a frog splash, pins Parker for the win.

WINNER: EDDY GUERRERO

Priest reiterates that Alex Shane is not in the tournament, after Tommy Boyd replaced Shane in the aforementioned match with Eddy Guerrero. It looks like Ayass is putting over Boyd as a Vince McMahon style character (oh God).

The Ring Announcer introduces next match - Jonny Storm vs Jody Fleisch.

Priest announces the draw (for the first time on radio) where 17 names were in, eight were picked out. FIRST ROUND DRAW (and results - at this point) FOR KING OF ENGLAND TOURNAMENT

*Doug Williams vs Flash Barker (Williams won)
*Drew MacDonald vs Robbie Brookside (MacDonald won after Dino Scarlo interference)
*Eddy Guerrero vs Scott Parker (Guerrero won)

MATCH #5 Jonny Storm vs Jody Fleisch

Storm vs Fleisch (other three matches will be shown on Bravo's broadcast of this card in March) Ayass and Priest describes the wrestlers' attire, and they begin with a stand-off. Some chain wrestling with reversed wrist locks. Storm tries a German suplex, but Storm lands on his feet, and near-falls around (like Lynn/Storm from ECW Anarchy Rulz 99), which earns applause from the 2,000+ fans in the arena. Fleisch whipped into the guardrail and Storm pulls out a ladder. Fleisch tipped off the ladder (yes I know, some dodgy commentary). Storm jumps off the Ladder and hits a twisting somersault plancha onto Fleisch. Storm uses the ladder as a weapon on Fleisch, and Fleisch hits a moonsault off the ladder. (Priest describes the moonsault for newbies) Storm hits a Michinoku/Juvi/whatever driver on Fleisch on the concrete. Fleisch hit in the face with a ladder (I lost the radio signal here for a few mins)... We're back and Fleisch is climbing the ladder... Storm catches Fleisch and hits a Rock Bottom off the ladder into the ring for a two count. Storm hits a modified Dragonrana onto Fleisch for another two. Fleisch, out of nowhere, hits the Phoenix (720) DDT for the win.

WINNER: JODY FLEISCH

SEMI FINALS (of King of England tournament) *Drew MacDonald vs Jody Fleisch
*Doug Williams vs Eddy Guerrero

We return, more jingles and Boyd voice-overs. Back to the arena, and we're in the interval. Mark Priest puts over the show. Names not drawn were Brian Christopher, Ulf Hermann and Alex Shane - this could set up a three-way dance, but Mark Priest is adamant that Shane's name was drawn out (like anyone cares!)

Priest and Ayass recap the other matches - but not in much detail. Boyd cuts in the commentary, and Boyd's doing Coachman duty (getting opinions from fans in the crowd)

A typical comment - "Grandmaster Sexay's something isn't he?" (Boyd) Yes, the commentary was that bad! Boyd asks for tips for the King of England title - virtually everyone's plugged...

Another match is brought up - Lexie Fyfe vs Nikita (where Nikita lost, but this hadn't been mentioned in commentary). The rest of the interval is filled with Boyd doing Coachman duty.

Mark Priest welcomes us back to the "sell out crowd", alongside the Twisted Genius, Dean Ayass (pronounced Eh-Ass, in case you're wondering). Priest apologises for missing out some details...

They recap the show, mentioning how ex-ITV Gladiator "Ace" getting involved, and how a dodgy referee caused Nikita to lose. Looks like The Artist Formerly Known as Ace may be getting into wrestling.

We return to Priest and Ayass again. they plug the semis - Drew MacDonald vs Jody Fleisch, and Doug Williams vs Eddy Guerrero. Ayass mentions Fleisch's arm injury, which he believes Doug Williams will prey on in their match. They mention the interest from Bill Apter (who is taking photos of the event), and apparently Dave Meltzer is due to receive a video of this event.

Ayass and Priest mention Williams' ring attire with "Screw Britannia" on them (painting Williams as a heel). They bring up a post-match altercation between Scott Parker and Alex Shane (which was not broadcast). More hyperbole from Ayass and Priest.

We return from the adverts with the "Boydettes" (female dancers) in the ring. Yes, I'm cringing too at that name! More plugs, and the first semi is Jody Fleisch vs Drew MacDonald. Can you say Juvi vs Reese?

Match #6 Jody Fleisch vs Drew MacDonald

Ring announcer Justine Gale introduces the heel Drew MacDonald with his manager Dino Scarlo, then Jody Fleisch. Drew MacDonald rips up a sign reading "Dino and Drew are in love" (guess they haven't seen the Billy and Chuck posedown yet!)

We come back just after 9.05pm (UK time), and people listening on radio have been treated to just one full match. Their second match is in progress as we return - MacDonald vs Fleisch.

Mark Priest announces that Fleisch is being dismantled by MacDonald and Scarlo - but Fleisch has just hit a springboard top rope moonsault onto Scarlo. Another ref bump, and they reckon that MacDonald's going to be disqualified (but it isn't official yet), but MacDonald has drilled the referee.

We're now getting a 3-on-1 beating as Vixen, MacDonald and Scarlo are beating on Fleisch whilst the ref is down. The crowd are protecting Fleisch from the triple threat, whilst the audience listening at home are trying to protect themselves from an onslaught of hyperbole from Ayass and Priest.

Not much commentary on the wrestling - just Ayass and Priest reiterating how Fleisch is being "mugged" by MacDonald and co. Scarlo hits a clothesline on Fleisch, who takes it Rikishi-style (with the spin before the bump). Scarlo and MacDonald get a table out, and the commentators say that Fleisch will be put through it. They're putting over how MacDonald is trying to end Fleisch's career. Robbie Brookside runs in, and puts Scarlo through the table as MacDonald and Scarlo tried to break Fleisch's arm. Fleisch hits a sunset flip, and gets the win. Post Match, MacDonald and co beats up the referee, and Scarlo is bleeding (not make up either - according to Ayass)

Jody Fleisch is through to the final of the "King of England" tournament. But I get the feeling he may have to withdraw thanks to the beating he received during this match.

WINNER: JODY FLEISCH

Mark Priest welcomes us back ready for the seventh match. They mention the further beating on the referee after the match.

Match #7: Doug Williams vs Eddy Guerrero

Ayass mentions that some paramedics have gone into the dressing room to treat someone - but he's not sure whether it's Fleisch or Scarlo. The match is underway. Guerrero takes down Williams with a toehold. Williams gets in a headlock, but Guerrero locks in the STF. Guerrero seems to be targeting the legs here. Very little wrestling commentated on, far too much hyperbole and ad breaks in this broadcast tonight - I just hope the showing on Bravo is better. Guerrero is stretching Williams some more. Guerrero hit a dropkick to the back of the head whilst Williams was in the corner. Guerrero targeting the legs again, and locks in a figure four leg lock on the Anarchist. Guerrero hits a cradle, but gets a two count. Guerrero's putting more pressure on the legs. Williams hits a knee to the back of the head to Guerrero, but for only a two count. Eddy reverses a Williams kip up into a 'rana. Guerrero hits a Gory Special (like a Splash Mountain/Razor's Edge submission). Guerrero hits a small package and gets a near fall - the commentary tonight has been fairly poor - but wrestling doesn't work on radio, and this proves it tonight. A stalling suplex by Guerrero, and misses a centon/swanton bomb. Guerrero hits a cradle, Williams reverses it, and it's a win for the Anarchist Doug Williams!

So the final is Doug Williams vs Jody Fleisch - at least, that's what it is at this moment.

WINNER: DOUG WILLIAMS

Eddy Guerrero helps up Doug Williams after the match, raises his hand, and we have another ad break.

We return to the Crystal Palace Indoor Arena. Priest says that Ulf Hermann has pulled a fan (plant) and powerbombed and piledrove the fan on the floor. Hermann's in the ring with a crew member and beating him up too.

Grandmaster Sexay's WWF music (Turn It Up, also used by Scotty 2 Hotty) hits and he comes out to face Hermann. Thank God it's not that awful crap that Tommy Boyd played for GMS on the show a fortnight ago!

Match #8: Ulf Hermann vs Grand Masta Sexay (GMS)

Hermann grabs Grand Masta, crushes his goggles, and GMS attacks. A match underway! GMS starts off with a low blow on the former ECW star. GMS whips Hermann into the barrier, Sexay goes up and is caught on the ropes. Hermann is in control.

Priest runs off a South Park gag "Oh My God, they killed Sexy". Hermann is totally dominating this match, but GMS is biting Hermann to get out of the lock. GMS hits an enziguri on Hermann!

Hermann's now getting some punishment as GMS brings in a chair. GMS smacks Hermann over the head with a chair. GMS hits a cross body on Hermann, and we have ANOTHER ref bump (creativity calling - we've got a shortage of it here). GMS hits a superkick to Hermann, and the Hip Hop Drop is coming! Hits the HHD, no referee there to count. Ulf Hermann whacks GMS with the chair and gets a three.

WINNER: ULF HERMANN

Mark Priest announces another match - Alex Shane vs Scott Parker. It'll be a falls count anywhere match.

Scott Parker comes out and bad mouths Alex Shane (who hit Parker with an errant chair shot). The cover of Disturbed's "Voices" hits, and the Show Stealer Alex Shane comes down.

The King of England tourney final will happen after this match.

Match #9: Alex Shane vs Scott Parker (Falls Count Anywhere)

Alex Shane cuts a promo about Boyd screwing him (gets booed) and Eddy Guerrero busting him open. "I'm going to kick your arse all over the arena, and you can do two things - nothing and like it"

After Alex's (real name is Mavis, apparently. don't know how true that one is!) promo, we get underway with match number nine. We start out with a few armwringers, and a few early two counts. Alex Shane hits a top rope somersault plancha on Parker to the outside. Parker retaliates with a tope. "Holy Sh*t" chants from the crowd. Shane hits a savate kick to the jaw of Scott Parker, who lost to Eddy Guerrero in the quarter finals of the King of England tournament earlier this night. Scott Parker hits an atomic drop on Alex Shane, and a pump handle drop is reversed into the Stunner! Shane gets a two count from it. Parker hits a regular DDT on Shane, but only gets a two count from that. Parker goes up top, but Alex Shane hits his Shane-sation spin kick on Parker, and gets a near fall on the outside. They then cut to a news and commercial break.

We return from the news and sport, and the match finished during the news. Alex Shane hit a 40ft balcony spot (a la New Jack). His music's playing, so we can only assume he won, as the commentators didn't describe the finish at all. Some real good editing by talkSPORT here, missing the bulk of the match with the news bulletin - hopefully the full match will be shown on Bravo.

WINNER: ALEX SHANE

We return for the last time (hopefully), for the final of the King of Ring Tournament, between Doug Williams and Jody Fleisch. (NB - after this match, an unnamed person will present the winner with the title) They describe the end of the last match - Shane was thrown off the balcony, then Scott Parker dived onto Shane.

Match #10 - Main Event - for the King of England Title: Doug Williams vs Jody Fleisch

Fleisch is favouring his shoulder, and it looks like Williams will target the left arm of Jody Fleisch. Mark Priest and Dean Ayass go over Fleisch's route to the final, mainly concentrating on his win over Drew MacDonald. Doug Williams locks Jody Fleisch with his legs, and slaps Fleisch whilst he's in the leg-scissors. Armdrag by Fleisch, before he's thrown to the outside. Fleisch thrown onto the guard rails. Williams is manhandling Fleisch here. Williams is now working on Fleisch's injured arm. Williams hits the leg scissors on Fleisch's arm - there's very little reaction from the crowd for this mat wrestling clinic. A few minutes go without any wrestling commentary as Priest and Ayass continue to talk about nothing in particular. Back to the wrestling now, and there's more armlocks and stretching by Williams on the arms of "The Phoenix" Jody Fleisch. Williams hits a German Suplex off the top rope, with Fleisch landing on the injured arm. Fleisch hits the Shooting Star Press from the top rope to the outside on Williams! Williams is on the outside, and Fleisch's suplex back in was blocked, with Williams going for a piledriver or powerbomb. they're both on the apron. Williams hits a powerbomb off the apron to the floor! Out of nowhere, Jody Fleisch hits his 720/Phoenix DDT. gets a two count on Doug Williams! Williams blocks a victory roll. superkick. Fleisch hits a handspring elbow! JODY FLEISCH WINS IT WITH A SUNSET FLIP OUT OF NOWHERE! JODY FLEISCH IS THE KING OF ENGLAND!

WINNER: JODY FLEISCH

Alex Shane, Jonny Storm and Scott Parker go into the ring and congratulate Fleisch. the show goes to an ad break.

The mystery man is unveiled and it's. The Dynamite Kid! Tom Billington comes out to present Jody Fleisch with the title and Trophy for the King of England tourney.

That's a wrap! Tommy Boyd wraps up the show with another voiceover and a brief chat with Mark Priest and Dean Ayass.
