According to a report on the Gene Ross
Associates website, Rob Black, the
owner of California independent promotion XPW was subpoenaed to provide a
deposition in the ongoing Nicole Bass lawsuit against the World Wrestling
Federation.
Bass is suing the WWF over an alleged injury that occurred when she was hit by a
Jeff Jarrett guitar shot. In the suit, Bass contends she was hit with an
actual, non-gimmicked guitar. Bass also alleges sexual harassment from a WWF
official.
According to the report, Black has been called to give a deposition as Bass
worked for his independent promotion at the same time she was healing from
the alleged injuries, taking bumps in the same time frame she claims to have
been injured in her lawsuit.
Black states the WWF also wants to know about Bass' involvement in five adult
"bondage" videos produced for his adult video company.
Black is quoted in the report saying that, "...Because [Bass] was
incapacitated and because she's supposed to be a very sensitive woman that,
while those feelings were playing a factor, she was working for Extreme
Associates [Black's company]..."
Black also mentioned unreleased footage of a "caning scene" involving
Bass
and a XPW performer. He is scheduled to make his deposition in three weeks.
