I've just got to get this off my chest. While watching the Rey Mysterio/Batista in ring face-to-face confrontation on SmackDown, I was a bit saddened to hear Mysterio bring up Eddie Guerrero's name in an angle. The dialog was about all the friendship times Rey and Batista had been through and Rey brought up their bond years ago with Eddie. Batista's very cold reply was, "Eddie's dead."
Sorry -- this was not necessary in my opinion. What ground-work does this do to move the Mysterio-Batista feud forward? What possible angle could come out of "Eddie is dead."
This is not the first time Eddie Guerrero has been mentioned in WWE story-lines and I guess the justification may be "hey, Eddie wouldn't mind."
November 13 is just a few weeks away. On that date it will be four years since he passed away.
WWE -- can't we just keep Eddie in our thoughts without putting him into an angle four years after his death? I think even
this far after his death it's still just plain bad taste (and has been in the past as well). If you want to mention Eddie Guerrero just say something nice about his life and keep him out of an angle!
