Wow, I was stunned and saddened to hear that Sherri Martel had passed at such a relatively young age. We met Sherri at the NWA legends Fanfest in Fayetteville NC in 2004, and she was wonderful; spending several minutes talking to me and my fiancee about the business, taking pictures with us and Scotty Riggs. In the course of our conversation, my son called; he was 4 at the time, and Sherri took my cell phone and talked to him for sevearl minutes. We were in awe of her ! What a classy lady; and truly a legendary wrestler.

Thanks Sherri, for being such a great person. Jimmy Nance and Family JNance Wrestling Entertainment

From Lou Vip-- Sherri was the last of the real true women wrestlers. Sherri to me was the first diva of wrestling. Sherri told a story in the ring and made it look real. Sherri always had great mic skills and full of electric personality. When vern gagne puts a title on you and vince mcmahon makes moolah pass the torch to you, that's saying something. Thank you sherri for entertaining us and giving us our money's worth. God bless your family and fans.

The UWA Pro-wrestling would like to take this time to send the sincere sympathy to "Sensational Sherri" and family,we have truly lost a great woman to our beloved sport. I met her once in Chicago and again in Philly, she was truly a "diamond".. Always a class act and always made time to talk to other wrestlers that wasn't on a national level, she made me like I was on the same level. Our Heart-felt prayers and sympathy goes to her family, friends and fans.. Heaven is happy now, because it has a "Ladies Champion"in heaven now...

GOD Bless SimplyBadd and UWA Pro-Wrestling.

Dear Mr. Apter, I had the honor and priviledge of meeting Sherri Martel at two different autograph shows. One was in the early 1990's and the other was three years ago. At both shows, she couldn't have been kinder or more generous to her fans.

At both times, she posed for a picture with me with a hug, a kind word and a huge smile and I was thrilled to meet this very sweet lady.

My greatest memory of Sherri outsdie the ring came at the show I attended in the 1990's. There was a little girl with her parents on line in front of me. For reasons I don't know, the little girl became upset and beagn to cry. Her parents got Sherri's autograph and left but Sherri felt so bad for the liitle girl that she ran after her and gave her one of her bracelets. This stopped the girl from crying and Sherri then came back and then gave me my autograph. That sir, is what you call class.

I guess you can say that Heaven is a little more," sensational," today. Thank you Sherri for the thrills, the entertainment and, most importantly, your dignity. Sherri was a truly kind person, and you can't say that about many people. Rest in peace, my friend. Yours truly, Tom Smail

Hi Bill. This is Andy from Kentucky. I was saddened to read of the passing of Sherri Martel. Then I immediately thght one thing; the WWE will cheapen this by saying," first Mr. Mcmahon, now Sherri". Obviously I hope that I'm wrong, but I'm probably not. The closest I bet we'll get to a respectable salute is TNA.

R.I.P. Sherri

From TJ-First, the passing Sherri is sad indeed but more then that, WWE is doing another ten bell salute to "Mr. McMahon" on Smackdown tonight. In light of Sherri passing it's going to come off as completely crass and tastles. I guess maybe the law of averages caught up with Vince afterall. I wish I was a fly on the wall in the WWE offices right now.
