On June 05 2004, the Holiday Inn in Carteret, NJ (just
minutes off the NJ Turnpike, Exit #12) will play host to some of the greatest
legends the professional wrestling game has to offer, as well as vendors from
around the country. This will be a great place to reunite with some of the stars
that captivated audiences throughout the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, share memories
with other fans and collect autographs, merchandise and other memorabilia. The
convention will culminate with both a Q&A featuring several of the legends
(hosted by "Luscious" Johnny Valiant) and the critically acclaimed one man show:
"An Evening With Johnny Valiant."
Guests Include:
Ivan Putski, "The Polish
Power". One of the most popular grapplers to ever grace the squared circle. His
easy-going attitude and enormous power made him one of the top draws of the 70’s
and 80’s.
Jumpin’ Jim Brunzell & B.
Brian Blair, "The Killer Bees". Tag team specialists, great mat wrestlers
and aerial artists they thrilled the fans throughout the 80s & 90’s.
Ivan Koloff, "The Russian
Bear". This former WWE champion is the man who ended the reign of Bruno
Sammartino. From the 60’s to now, Ivan has been a force in the world of pro
wrestling.
Nikita Koloff, "The Russian
Nightmare". This powerhouse made his debut in 1985 and revolutionized the NWA.
As half of the Super Powers with Dusty Rhodes, Koloff made his mark in the
grappling world and became a mainstay of such events as "The War Games".
Ken Patera, "The Olympic
Strongman". Before Mark Henry, there was Ken Patera whose legendary feats of
strength remain unmatched. Besides incredible power, he was a skilled wrestler
and won championships in every region in which he competed. A perennial WWWF
main-eventer and title challenger.
Stan "The Lariat" Hansen,
The Badman from Borger, Texas. The man who broke Bruno’s neck and one of the
most feared and vilified American grapplers to ever hit the Island of Japan. In
a rare personal appearance, this former AWA World Champion looks forward to
meeting his fans.
"Luscious" Johnny Valiant,
The 2X WWWF Tag Team Champion was one half of the legendary Valiant Brothers,
selling out Madison Square Garden four times in one year. A WWE Hall of Famer he
was manager of the "Dream Team"- Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine, a play by
play man with Gorilla Monsoon and currently on the road with his comedy hit, "An
Evening With Johnny Valiant."
"Beautiful" Bobby Eaton - As
one half of the Midnight Express with both Dennis Condrey and Sweet Stan Lane,
along with manager Jim Cornette, he may have been the best tag team wrestler
ever.
Ref Dick Woehrle- One of
wrestling's most respected wrestling refs. He was right in that ring for many of
the classics of our youth.
Rick Martell- This former
AWA World Champion was also known in the WWF as "The Model." A worldwide
superstar, he makes a rare East Coast appearance at the Wrestling Reunion.
Vader- One of the greatest
American stars ever in Japan, this hardcore hero returns to the East Coast after
a lengthy absence. Presented by Jersey All Pro Wrestling.
Mike Awesome- A former ECW
champ, a major name in Japan and a hardcore heroe. Presented by Jersey All Pro
Wrestling.
Lanny "The Genius" Poffo-
The son of Angelo Poffo and the brother of the "Macho Man," this man is one of
wrestling's most literate and colorful characters.
More legends of the squared circle will be on hand as
Wrestling Reunion is still in negotiation with several icons of pro wrestling.
