* Recap written by Adam Martin of www.WrestleView.com.

This week's GIR Radio featured the always controversial Teddy Hart. Teddy discusses his new H2 wrestling promotion, how he was trashed on the internet, his feelings toward CM Punk, rumors of Bret Hart's return to WWE, a controversial statement regarding the fate of Ring of Honor and much more! You can listen yourself at www.getinthering.tv and every Sunday 540 AM WLIE @ 7pm in NY/NJ, and live off www.getinthering.tv.

- Teddy Hart joins the show. At this same time, Goldylocks of NWA TNA (who was on the show earlier) began to have a brief discussion with Hart before she left the show. Hart said he told his uncle Bret Hart that he thought she was a very nice person after he had met her earlier. Goldylocks thanked Teddy and said that Bret owed her an e-mail from earlier. The Phantom joined in and said what a nice moment this was on Get in the Ring. Goldylocks eventually left the show after some back and forth chatting between herself and Teddy.

- The Phantom asked Teddy if he was a single guy. Teddy said he is single based on his travel schedule and that he wants to entertain his fans, making it hard for any girl to put up with his bullsh*t schedule. The Phantom adds that GIR wouldn't be putting up with his cursing since they were live. Teddy quickly apologizes and The Phantom said that if he was to hook up with Goldylocks, then it would all be because of Get in the Ring. Teddy said that would be great, but feels she is out of his league. He said he is just a young guy trying to break into the business and doesn't know if that would work out for him.

- The Phantom congratulates Teddy for getting people talking, bringing up the development of H2Wrestling and how he has put controversy back into wrestling. Teddy appreciates the comments and said his natural personality is doing some good for him lately when it has often got him in trouble. He said controversy is something that is needed in pro wrestling and that he will go out each and every night to be as weird and wacky as possible. Teddy brings up that he is a Christian and doesn't feel the need to cross a certain morale line. He said his goal in the ring is to trick the viewer if what they are seeing is real or fake. Teddy compares his job to that of a magician or artist.

- The Phantom asked if he was a big fan of the late Brian Pillman. Teddy said he loved Pillman and always thought he could do that angle. He said although he probably couldn't do it as well as Brian, he could at least do 50% of the job that he did as well as compete as good as Bret and Owen in the ring. Teddy said it would be great if fans think he does a great job in the ring just like Pillman. He considers Pillman to be in a group and class of his own...much like himself. Teddy said that he feels he is in a club where he will be considered down the line as a wrestler who walked that fine line and used the loose cannon gimmick to its fullest extent.

- The Phantom brought up that the character he portrays is actually what he is like and is a reality, bringing up the CM Punk situation that took place this past year. Teddy said the situation with CM Punk started as a thing where he respected him and had only seen one match of his at a Ring of Honor show that he was booked on. He said that he regretted the situation that took place a few months back with Punk at NWA TNA and said that if he decides to open his mouth the next time, there will be certain consequences waiting for him. Teddy brought up how CM Punk would say a lot of things about him on the internet and feels he is looked upon by "the boys on the independent scene" as someone who can bring you back down to your true level. He said at one point Punk became too big for his britches everywhere and when he got his quote "ass kicked by me in TNA", a lot of people came up to him differently than he expected. Teddy said many people didn't think very highly of Punk after the incident since he slapped him first, starting the fight as a result and ended up losing in the end making a stupidity out of himself.

- The Phantom asked Teddy if he thinks this situation hurt CM Punk's career, possibly costing him bookings in many places. Teddy said he isn't sure, but doesn't think it helped him very much after he claimed many times that he could beat him up. He said he has never claimed to be a tough guy and said he tries to "die for his fans" because fans expect him to put on a money worthy performance. Teddy said that although many feel wrestling fans are stupid, he considers them to be some of the smartest fans alive today because they know when guys are risking their life to entertain. He said a guy like CM Punk doesn't have the same move set as him, accusing him of having no balls and having no faith in the people. Teddy said that if the people continue to show love for him, it will allow him to do what he does best and that is display moves unlike others in the business today. He said he knows the fans are invested in him and will continue to pray for his safety so he never gets injured. Teddy said a guy like CM Punk talks like he is god on the internet and said that when you watch one of his matches, you know he isn't risking anything.

- Teddy brought up how at one point Les Thatcher told him that he thought he was a punk, but said after meeting him he understood he had a good attitude and was mistaken. Teddy said that Thatcher told him he still does way too much in the ring. He said his theory about doing too much is one of the main reasons why wrestlers like CM Punk have a problem with him. Teddy said he always thought wrestling wasn't a competitive sport and said if promoters knew he was going to work three times as hard as everyone else, he shouldn't be booked on the third match of the card and steal the show. He said Rob Feinstein told him he could do whatever he wanted and then out of no where CM Punk became the "enforcer" of the entire situation. Teddy brought up how Punk went on the internet and told every dirt sheet about what happened. He said he doesn't have any connections like Punk does and before he knew it, he was being verbally bashed everywhere on the internet about his so called bad attitude and how other wrestlers disliked him.

- Talk turned to how the internet portrayed Teddy in a negative light. Teddy said that after his second show with Ring of Honor where the big situation took place, he was in the process of developing H2Wrestling and was hoping to have many ROH guys, including CM Punk, apart of it. He said that at the time he thought Punk was a great talent, was good on the mic and had lots of potential in the future. Teddy said the entire situation basically lead to a fight Punk started in the first place. He brought up how there was a rumor going around about himself and Steve Corino doing a shoot fight. Teddy said it was originally scheduled to be himself and CM Punk in a shoot fight and brought up how he had done a shoot interview with Rob Feinstein before all of his troubles. He said Rob tried to get both Hart and Punk on the phone at the same time, but Punk refused to speak with him. Teddy said at the same time, ROH was promising him that Punk had agreed to the empty arena shoot fight. He said his whole thought process about the situation was that if he were to get in the ring with Punk, he would want to speak with him first and know everything was cool. Teddy said that never happened so he felt it was a setup from the start.

- Teddy then spoke of his altercation with CM Punk in Nashville in great detail. He said he tried to speak with Punk about the possibility of the ROH match in Nashville at NWA TNA. Teddy said when he saw Punk, he smiled at him to strike up a conversation, but Punk told him to wipe the smile off his face. Hart asked Punk to come outside with him because he didn't want to create a scene. He said when they were outside, he went to shake his hand, but Punk slapped him instead. Teddy said as a result, he gave Punk a right hand to the face and said he went down right away. He said Punk went for a double leg takedown, but missed it and he then proceeded to hit him around 20 times on the head. Teddy said Punk was smart to put his arms up because a majority of the hits came on his forehead. He said after that he grabbed Punk by the hair and warned Punk that he should cut his hair if he ever decides to fight him again because the same thing would happen all over again. Teddy said a guy with long hair has no chance of lasting in a fight as far as he is concerned. The Phantom asked if Bret Hart ever taught him any moves to protect himself on the street. Teddy posed the question if someone hit you, what would your response be? Phantom said he fights dirty. To sum it up, he said Punk basically got saved by Sabu and thanked him for doing it because even though he is a Christian, people tend to lose their tempers. Teddy said he was in such a bad mood that if the fight had not been broken up, CM Punk would have been hospitalized in the end.

- Shawn (The GIR intern who was filling in for Sir Adam - get well soon Adam!) asked if Teddy was cool with taking a question from a long time listener of the show. Teddy said no problem. The caller joined the show and said he thinks Teddy is phenomenal. He asked that if at some point he has to tone down his image and almost kiss ass since a lot of politics come into play if you want a bigger spot in the company. Teddy comments the caller about his knowledge of the ins and outs of the wrestling business and how much politics really come into play. He said he is right and related his stance to that of Eminem and Tupac. Teddy said that when Tupac passed away, he was looked upon as a motivational speaker when many labeled him as a bad influence and menace to society when he first started. He asked what he ever actually did to say or hurt anybody. The Phantom agreed and said the first time he heard about Teddy Hart, it was all negative.

- Talk turned to how Teddy is portrayed on the internet and among many others. Teddy said he takes credit for making CM Punk more of a star than he ever was before, referring to him as a 6'3, 160lb toothpick. He also mentioned Punk's past with Raven being his mentor and allowing him to coin the gimmick in his own fashion. Teddy said that if so many people carry the same opinion of him like CM Punk does, then why are so many people coming to work for his new H2 promotion for basically nothing. He said many of the guys coming in are basically looking for a tryout, bringing up names like Sonjay Dutt and Jack Evans. Teddy posed a question that if these guys really thought bad of him based on what was said about him on the internet, would they really come to work for him and put their bodies on the line as a result? He asked if one person could come up with an example where he mouthed off to a veteran and said there would be no answer because he has never done that before. In what was considered by many GIR fans to be the line of the night, Teddy claimed that a select group of guys did their best to make sure he didn't gain a big spot in ROH because if he did, the fans would start to realize just how special he is and that he truly is the savior of professional wrestling.

- Teddy then spoke of The Rock, saying how far he has taken his career as a result of becoming successful in the world of professional wrestling. He said Vince McMahon made it possible for The Rock to take what Hulk Hogan did, but take it a step farther in terms of getting involved in the movie industry. Teddy said Hogan opened the first door, Rock opened the second door and Vince McMahon will continue to be the reason why that door will be open in the near future for someone else. The Phantom asked if he thinks he will be the next person to do that. Teddy agreed and feels he is possibly the next person to follow that path. He said that although The Rock was great on the mic, he never impressed many in the ring as he never did a 450 or Shooting Star Press like he could.

- The Phantom asked what he thought about the WWE trying to bring the wrestlers down to a more grounded attack instead of the high flying stuff that existed a few years ago. Teddy said the WWE is the founding father of professional wrestling. He said whether people like it or not, other wrestling businesses depend on the success of WWE in many areas in order for other independent promotions to develop. Teddy said without WWE, people wouldn't have the dream to become Hulk Hogan or The Rock. He said that is why some people don't find independent wrestling that great because you don't get the chance to see a guy shine before he hits it big. Teddy said that based on his last name on paper, he has the ability to make it in the WWE and branch off to different areas much like Hogan and The Rock.

- The Phantom asked if he is shocked that people are still rabid about the fact that Bret Hart may be returning to WWE sometime this year as its been years since he has been involved in wrestling on a national venue. Teddy said the fans are a lot smarter than people give them credit for because they can recognize that Bret Hart represented the right kind of morals unlike others in the business. He said the fans want to see that side of wrestling again, although it may be impossible for him to make an in-ring return. Teddy said Bret Hart's character died for what he thought was right and because of that we don't have Bret "The Hitman" Hart anymore. He said that technically to a wrestling fan, the Bret Hart character is dead and will never come back. Teddy said fans want Bret back because they can relate to him and are upset that he got screwed by the "fast-talking, womanizer Shawn Michaels." He said when many wrestling fans saw Shawn Michaels win the Iron Man Match and then help screw Bret at the '97 Survivor Series, they got hurt and stopped watching as a result. The Phantom asks if he buys Shawn Michaels' new born-again Christian persona on television. Teddy said as a Christian, he doesn't feel the need to judge and wonders if people watching HBK on TV decide to become a Christian as well without knowing what he was like backstage early in his career. He said whether Michaels is a true Christian or not, he is just happy to see him acknowledge it on TV.

- Shawn (GIR intern) asked if he could have one match with anybody in the wrestling business, who would it be. Teddy said Shawn Michaels. Shawn asked if it would be more of a technical match or based off a storyline. He said that it could be a little of both, praising Michaels as a guy who can work hardcore & technical matches, carry great stage presence and be an all around entertainer. Teddy said many people neglect to give him credit for still going strong to this day concerning the injuries he has endured. He said Michaels move set is unique in that it helps get the guy he is working with over and he praises him for that. Teddy said HBK sells his ass off and when he makes that comeback in a match, it makes it more entertaining.

- The Phantom asked if he is still on the outs with Steve Corino. Teddy said he will never see eye-to-eye with Corino. He said if they are booked on the same event and they aren't wrestling each other, he would be respectful to him and he is sure Corino would be the same way. Teddy said he would love to have the opportunity to get Corino in the ring, whether it be professional or on the level of a shoot fight.

- The Phantom asked that given the development of this new H2 wrestling promotion if things will turn out well since Court Bauer is involved and was the main reason for MLW's demise. Teddy said the main reason MLW ceased to exist, in addition to financial backers pulling out, was that some talent on the roster were becoming a problem and that it wasn't the type of direction they wanted to go. He said he wouldn't provide any names, but said many were making requests for large amounts of money that many didn't deserve. Teddy said guys that would normally make $25-$50 a show were making requests for up to $200 or more. He said at that time, he became more involved with the promotion and realized it was taking a turn for the worse.

- As the interview segment came to a close, Teddy said he had something to say that could cause some controversy that he never had the chance to say before. He said that whether Rob Feinstein likes it or not, he is responsible for what happened in Ring of Honor. Teddy said he told a group of people in Ring of Honor that there would be consequences for leaving him in a parking lot for up to six hours, allowing Samoa Joe to scream at him for an hour and a half and allowing "CM Puke" to denounce his name on the internet when he had never personally met the guy before in his life. He said he works for God and that God hates evil. He said God hates it when an older male would take advantage of someone in a business or sexual manner. Teddy said all those people that embarrassed him and laughed at him when MLW went out of business are now the ones feeling the consequences because he is a promoter now and controls the fate of many. He ended the segment saying that Rob Feinstein should take a look at his actions because they caught up with him. Teddy said he is still Rob's friend, but that the backbone of ROH has been weakened. He said that was his first slay of his sword on the independent wrestling world and that ROH became his first victim. Teddy said ROH will pay the consequences for what they did to him because they were not right and righteous.
