MEXICO NOTES
Rey Bucanero was apparently injured at the 1/23 EMLL event in Arena Mexico. During a match which saw L.A. Par-K (original La Parka) and Shocker defeat Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero to win the EMLL Tag Team championships. Shocker hit a dive on Bucanero, which his leg was between two seats in the Arena. Par-K then dove on Ultimo Guerrero and ended up slamming Bucanero's knee again. Bucanero was stretchered out with what was said to be ligament damage. There's been no update noted on the CMLL website. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a storyline angle as Bucanero ended up getting back in the ring but was pinned. The match was said to have been excellent. Other results from the show saw Pequeno Olimpico & Shockercito & Ultimo Dragoncito beat Espectrito & Pequeno Violencia & Pierrothito.... Mazada & NOSAWA & Sangre Azteca defeated Olimpico & Safari & Tigre Blanco.....Fuerza Guerrera & Satanico & Zumbido beat Arkangel de la Muerte & Averno & Mephisto....Black Tiger & Dr. Wagner Jr. & Universo Dos Mil defeated Atlantis & Mr. Niebla & Volador Jr. (substituting for Vampiro. They did an angle after the bout where Wagner challenged Atlantis to a mask vs. mask match for EMLL's 71st Anniversary show, which will take place in September. That's advance booking.
There are no plans for Nosawa to return to MLW at the moment. He didn't appear at the last set of shows and the promotion hasn't heard from him, but is open to using him down the line.
Lucha Libre promotion AAA ran 1/23 in Tokyo at Korakuen Hall with All Japan's Kaz Hayashi & Ayako Hamada & DINO defeating Alebrije & Cuije & Esther Moreno & Pinpinela in a mixed tag with Hayashi pinning Pinpinela....Mascara Sagrada & Mascarita Sagrada defeated Psicosis & Mini Psicosis with Mascarita defeating Mini Psicosis....Juventud Guerrera & Mr. Aguila (Essa Rios) & Charly Manson & Gefar & Tiffany defeated Sander & El Zorro & Oriental & Electro Shock & Lady Apache when Juventud defeated Sander....Latin Lover & La Parka & Gronda defeated Cibernetico & Abismo Negro & Chessman when Lover pinned Cibernico.
