Hi and welcome to the debut edition of
Hi and welcome to the debut edition of "It Figures" on 1Wrestling.com! My
name is Jesse Mateja, and I'll be bringing you news and reviews on all the
newest wrestling figures and playsets hitting all across the world. Here's some
info about me: I've been a wrestling fan and collecting wrestling action figures
since I was a youngster.
I'm also a collector of all types of figures. I've been writing reports for
websites for the past few years. I try to give and get all the info I can about
what's new and what's coming. I'll also be trying to implement some old and new
sections to the report, which I hope you'll enjoy. At the end of this report
will be some more info about them. I also do the Byte This recap for 1Wrestling. Well, let's get into the news...
SummerSlam line-up:
Goldberg
Triple H
Kurt Angle
Eddie Guerrero
Undertaker
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin
"Evolution" boxed set
RingsideCollectibles.com has sent word that they will have an exclusive boxed
set of the members of "Evolution". This set is exclusive to
RingsideColletibles.com, much like the WWE Divas boxed set. The set consists of
members "The Game" Triple H, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and "The Legend Killer"
Randy Orton.
"Please keep in mind these details are
tentative and the final product is subject to change without notice."

All 3 figures are Ruthless Aggression style.
-
They each come with a removable Evolution
"PAID, LAID, & MADE" t-shirt as seen on RAW.
-
Each figure will have exclusive color tights
only available in this box set!
-
The set will not be available in any stores!
-
Limited Edition of 3500 pieces.
Here are some pics of upcoming sets:
Ruthless Aggression series 6:

It looks to be a decent series. Interesting to see Maven in there. That should
give a hint that he is getting a push. He has a trash can lid as an accessory. I
like the Team Angle singlet on Kurt. The blue and red looks great on it. I can't
make out what his accessory is. The sky blue mask and pants on Rey look nice.
Rey comes with a ladder. RVD's singlet looks pretty sharp, but I'm not so sure
about the head sculpt. It looks odd to me. Van Dam comes with a water bottle
accessory. The Goldberg fig has black tights with white trim. Bill comes
with a chair. And more purple trunks(yuck!) on Triple H, who looks to have a
knee brace as an accessory.(ummm...okay)
Adrenaline series 4:

The SmackDown! brand has it's turn with the Adrenaline series. The Undertaker
VS. John Cena set looks pretty well done. Taker's arms look a little too thick
with that upper body, but maybe it is just because of the pose he is in. In what
may yet be the closest to a "Thuganomics" Cena, he is here with a, what I'm
assuming is supposed to be maybe a baseball jersey, a hat, and jean shorts. The
extra stripes of color around the cuffs of the shirt make it look 10 times
better. They come with a baking sheet accessory. Billy and Torrie Wilson seem to
look good as well. There have not been many good Billy Gunn figs. He's a guy
that just doesn't come across well in plastic, most of the time. But here it
looks decent, better than a lot that have been released. But it's another fig of
Billy in his hot pink tights, which I don't think ANYONE needs. BUT then there's
Torrie. I have not been loving this fig, which looks to be a repaint of the one
included in the WWE Divas box set. She seems to not come across well in figure
form either. But with her hot pink outfit, it's not all that bad. They come with
a chair. Then we have Rhyno and Chris Benoit. Rhyno is in usual outfit, it looks
pretty good. Benoit, who unfortunately is another who has had some terrible
looking sculpts, looks to be adding another to that collection. The head here
looks elongated. Maybe it's the angle of the pic, so I'll have to hold off
judgement until I see it up close. Chris has his "Toothless Aggression" shirt
and tights. They come with a water bottle and tire as accessories, for whatever
reason. I think the Taker/Cena pack is the hot set here, but the boys will all
want a Torrie, so this one is up in the air right now. This series should be
hitting stores in a month or so.
All-Cool-Gifts.com Exclusive "Maskless Kane":

Another exclusive to All-Cool-Gifts.com,
this is a "Maskless Kane" figure. Let's talk about the body first. It's
fantastic! This body is one of the best looking ones I have seen on a figure in
a long time. Even the buckles on the straps look great. But then there's the
head. Now, Kane is an odd looking fellow. Anyone who even remembers Dr. Isaac
Yankem D.D.S. knows that from way back. Looking at this figures reminds me
why they didn't unmask him for about 5 years. I think the head sculpt looks more
like Michael Berryman from "The Hills Have Eyes" film than it does of Kane. I
think they should have at least sprayed some hair on the back of his head, like
Kane now has. This is not a pic of the final product, so maybe it will look
better when released. But all in all, not that bad.
I hope you enjoyed the first edition of Jesse Says "It Figures."
Here's where it gets better. Here's where YOU can get involved in the column. If
you have or make custom figures, feel free to email them on over to me. I'd like
to start showcasing some originals in the column. Also, because sometimes some
stores like Wal-Mart and K-Mart gets store specific sets such as "Off The
Ropes", it's not always easy to get information on these sets. So if you see
figures or sets that other stores aren't carrying, or if you happen to get some
info that can be used in the column, feel free to send it on over to me. AND,
hopefully starting next time, we'll be adding giveaways to the column.
So please feel free to email me at
Jesse1W@aol.com with any comments, questions, requests, etc. See ya on
Thursday for the Byte This recap. Thanks for reading!
