You can email us questions for this column at ASK1WRESTLING
When are you going to update Ask1? It's one of my favorite sections in the site and its been several days now since it was last updated.
Here's your answer!
When will you be adding new columnists to fill the gap left by the people who recently left 1Wrestling.com?
Soon! In fact, we've already started. We've added a new weekly column by John Daly. He'll be giving his thoughts on the weekly TNA pay-per-view events. David Webber will also be posting columns on a regular basis, and Brian Fritz will be updating audio features for Premium members. Georgiann Makropoulos continues with her regular updates, and some of other regular columnists will continue to update. More new columns will be coming soon, as well as the return of the column that 1Wrestling.com evolved from....Notes From Bob.
When will you start updating new content for Premium members?
We will begin updating new content for Premium members this week. In fact, we've already posted new audio interviews with Shawn Michaels and Tully Blanchard taken from their recent appearance on Between The Ropes. We'll continue posting audio features from Between The Ropes, including some exclusive audio not aired on the show. The Voice of Wrestling radio show will also be providing us with audio content. Announcements about new exclusive content will be made in the next few days.
Are you going to sell tickets to WWE Hall of Fame reception & induction ceremony? What about the Bacon, Bagels and Biceps Brunch?
At the present time tickets for these events will be sold exclusively at WWE Shopzone. Tickets will be going on sale February 7 at 10am.
I read somewhere that Steve Austin was given his name by Dutch Mantel. Is that true?
Yes. Austin's real name was Steve Williams. When he came to the USWA, Mantel was the booker. To avoid confusion with the already established Steve "Dr Death" Williams, Mantel told him to come up with a new name...and gave him 5 minutes to decide. When
he wasn't able to come up with anything, Mantel told him..."Ok, you're Steve Austin".
Was the Renegade when he originally showed up the same person as the Ultmate Warrior. I know they switch people playing the charricter after he had his first match, but I believe the original was Jim Helwig.
Renegade was Rick Williams. He was brought in by WCW basically to serve as an Ultimate Warrior clone. Helwig, who by the way was the first and only Ultimate Warrior, ever appeared as Renegade. Williams committed suicide in 1999 after leaving WCW.
Could you tell me if there is a chance that Hulk Hogan will be at Wrestlemania 20 and be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
It certainly wouldn't be a surprise. He was there for the first one, and there have been discussions about bringing Hogan in for the big event this year. An idea was pitched to Hogan several months ago about coming in for a match against Steve Austin.
