This week’s show opened with a video package that focused on Rich Swann and his winning the Cruiserweight title last week. The video also included shots of Swann and Kendrick’s match action. This sets the stage for their return match.

Noam Dar makes his entrance for the opening match. His opponent, Cedric Alexander was on his way out when Alicia Fox stopped him so she could give him some moral support with a kiss on the cheek for his match tonight. Alexander did make his way out to the ring.

Match 1: Noam Dar vs. Cedric Alexander.

After the handshake, Dar controls early by keeping Alexander on the mat. Alexander was able to make his presence felt with a standing head scissors and a dropkick that sent Dar to the floor. Dar comes right back by snapping Alexander’s neck over the top rope. Dar went to work on the left arm of Alexander. Alexander tried to fight back but was cut off with a European uppercut for a near fall.

Alexander hits a nice spinning elbow to the face and a nice kick to set up a springboard cross body for a near-fall. Dar came right back with a nice kick for a two count then began to work on the arm again. Alexander briefly countered the arm bar into a pin attempt but Dar powered out. Alexander never could get his comeback on track as Dar had a counter for everything he tried. Alexander’s last comeback attempt was thwarted when he ran his arm into the ring post and Dar nailed him shortly thereafter with a running back kick for the win.

Winner: Noam Dar

Dar was interviewed in the ring about winning on his first appearance on 205 Live. Dar said he was 23 and signed a mega deal with WWE. He dedicated his win to Alexander’s girlfriend, Alicia Fox. Alexander was shown outside the ring and was not happy.

An introductory video package aired for Mustafa Ali. The video highlighted Ali’s personality as he said the crowd just boos when they hear his name. He said he knows that he’s the best because he can work any style and that’s why he is not feeling any pressure to succeed. He said his goal is to be the best in the division. He then called himself “ King Ali.”

In the locker room, Cruiserweight Champion, Rich Swann was taping up when TJ Perkins showed up to wish him luck. Perkins said that Swann has been lucky a lot lately referencing their match from last night on Raw when Swann caught him with a kick. Swann said sometimes its better to be lucky than good. Perkins told him he was good enough to beat Kendrick. The show goes to commercial.

Back from commercial, and Ariya Daivari makes his entrance for the next match. Jack Gallagher makes his entrance.

Match 2: Ariya Daivari vs. Jack Gallagher

These men met last night on Raw with Gallagher coming out victorious but paying the price as Daivari attacked his knee after the match. Tonight, Gallagher had his knee bandaged up and when the bell rang, Daivari went right after it to start the match. Daivari was particularly vicious as he removed Gallagher’s bandage and slammed the knee into the ring post.

Gallagher made an attempt to come back with forearms and uppercuts but Daivari would just clip the knee to regain control. Gallagher was able to catch Daivari with a head butt and got a two count. Daivari regained control with a rolling elbow and a swift kick to the knee. Daivari went to the top rope and finished Gallagher with a frog splash for the win.

Winner: Ariya Daivari

A Lince Durado introductory video aired. The video focused on his in-ring work and a graphic said he would be coming to 205 Live soon.

TJ Perkins made his entrance for commentary. He is joining the broadcast team for the main event. Brian Kendrick was interviewed backstage on his way to the ring about his struggles facing Rich Swann. Kendrick blamed it on being distracted and having so much to do he didn’t have time to train. Kendrick will dedicate tonight’s match to himself. Kendrick and Swann make their entrances for the main event.

Match 3: Cruiserweight Championship Match: Rich Swann (Champion) vs. Brian Kendrick

Kendrick gains control early working on the arm. Swann hits a picture perfect dropkick that drives Kendrick to the floor. Swann follows him outside but Kendrick hits Sliced Bread 2 off the barricade to gain the upper hand. Kendrick goes for a pin and gets a two count. Kendrick hits a dragon suplex from then goes for the Captain’s Hook but Swann gets to the ropes to break it.

Swann makes a move to regain control when he kicks Kendrick to the outside then nails him with a corkscrew dive on the floor. Swann gets Kendrick back in the ring and a tiger bomb later, rolls him up for a two count. Swann went for his standing 450 that Kendrick countered into a rollup for two. Swann missed a kick to Kendrick but caught him with a modified Michinoku driver for a two count while the announce desk argued over what to call the move.

The two men traded kicks in center ring and both connected sending both men to the canvas. Swann comes off the mat swinging haymakers at Kendrick. Kendrick weathers the storm and locks in the Captain’s Hook. Swann is stuck in the Hook in the center of the ring but manages to roll up Kendrick briefly for a two count but stays in the hold. He is finally able to get to his knees and crawl to the ropes for the break.

Swann crawls under the rope and pulls Kendrick to the apron with him. Kendrick plants a boot to Swann’s face and looks to be setting up for Sliced Bread against the ring post but Swann throws Brian to the post. Kendrick returns the favor by running Swann’s head to the post knocking him out. Kendrick tries to get him back in the ring but Swann fires him into Perkins behind the announce table. Kendrick shoves with Perkins but goes back to the ring where he gets nailed with a roundhouse kick for the three count.

Winner: Rich Swann

Post-Match: Swann leaves the area and a mad Kendrick tries to battle it out with Perkins at the desk. Swann comes back to help Perkins and Perkins misses a super kick meant for Kendrick. Brian moves and TJ hits Swann instead. Kendrick leaves the area, playing to the fans, as Swann and Perkins are laid out to close the show.
