THE INDY BUZZ: RENO WRESTLING FEDERATION’S DEBUT AT TACO FEST 2016

Posted October 31st, 2016 by jshannon

The Reno Wrestling Federation debuted at Taco Fest 2016. It was a 2-day mix of traditional American wrestling and Lucha Libre style grappling.

Lottie and I were invited by “Terrific” Tyson to come to the show. It was a free event, sponsored by the Sands Regency Hotel and Casino. The event featured intergender matches, tag team and trios matches, as well as singles competition.

We got to see Odwun the Viking, the Taco Heroes, Tyson, Dr. Laslo, , Mantizee, Chika Maravilla, Chino Gambino, and more. The shows ran ever two hours , all day long. Just about everyone got the chance to fight, including Chika. She orginally came out as a valet for Chino, but later came out to fight Manatizee.

The main event of the two day spectacular saw “Terrific” Tyson defend his Reno Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship against both Odwun the Viking and Dr. Laslo. In the end, Doc brought out a Stun Gun to shock Tyson. Odwun was taken out, moments earlier. Despite a valiant effort by the champion and the Bearded Brute, Dr. Laslo became the new R.W.Fed Champion.

Much thanks to J. Biggs, Scooter Wilson, Adan Reyes and the rest of the men and women of Reno Wrestling Federation for making a typical Saturday Date Night so much fun for the both of us.

Peace and Love
