Smackdown comes to us live from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. Randy Orton & Kane are scheduled to face Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper tonight, Luke Harper made his return last Sunday during the Randy Orton/Bray Wyatt match at No Mercy. AJ Styles retained his WWE World Championship in questionable manner as well as Dolph Ziggler winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship defeating The Miz. Dolph is introduced as the show begins.

Dolph holds up the title and says this is fun but it wasn’t easy to achieve. Ziggler said he didn’t know if No Mercy was going to be his last time in the ring and he thought he may have made a mistake. Ziggler said once he stepped in the ring he knew this was were he was supposed to be. The Miz’s music hits and the former champion comes to the ring with his wife Maryse by his side. Miz stands still and says he is mourning the death of the Intercontinental Title, Miz says its been 180 days and he was the one to bring prestige back to the championship. Miz says Dolph’s victory is more like a funeral just like Dolph Ziggler. Miz then says this is only act two, Miz says Dolph s just a temporary lay off. Miz tells Dolph that he takes the championship very seriously and he will do anything to get it back, Miz says he isn’t done with Dolph yet. The Spirit Squad members Mikey & Kenny come out and cheer saying they want to face Dolph in a handicap match.

2 on 1 Handicap Match
The Spirit Squad(Mikey & Kenny) vs Dolph Ziggler

Kenny starts with Dolph as Ziggler tries to stay away from the double team but he rubs into a clothesline from Kenny them=n Mikey gets the tag. Mikey scores with a drop kick then slaps on a sleeper hold off the ropes. Mikey again tries the double team but Ziggler escapes out of the ring. Kenny now gets the tag and the two try another move but Dolph counters into a double DDT. Dolph hits the splash in the corner to Kenny but Mikey gets in the way and Kenny hits a neck breaker for a two count. Kenny tries a Canadian Back Breaker but Dolph escapes and scores with a Super kick and he pins Kenny for the win.

Your Winner: Dolph Ziggler

After the match Dolph is attacked by The Miz who was at ringside during the match, as Ziggler is taking damage he gets saved by Heath Slater & Rhyno.

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon are backstage and they have a message for the upcoming Survivor Series. Shane talks about how Smackdown Live wants to up the ante at this years Survivor Series by challenging Raw. The two propose a 10 Man Tag match pitting the best five Raw stars against the best five Smackdown Live stars, the same goes for Tag Teams as well as the Womens Division.

Singles Match
Naomi vs Carmella

Carmella goes on the attack as soon as Naomi gets in the ring right before the bell sounds. Carmella countered Naomi in the corner and slammed her to the mat. Carmella slaps on a rear chin lock but Naomi gets away hitting a jaw breaker. Naomi hits a series of kicks then a running bulldog into the turn buckle. Naomi then goes up to the top rope and hits a high cross body to Carmella for a two count. Carmella reverses Naomi’s next move but as Carmella picks up Naomi we see Nikki Bella coming down to the ring with security trying to stop her. Carmella stops competing and Naomi takes advantage of the distraction as she rolls up Carmella for the win.

Your Winner: Naomi

Nikki Bella charges after Carmella but she escapes over the railing into the crowd.

Alexa Bliss is backstage and she is asked about her loss to Naomi, Bliss says she can beat Naomi any day of the week. Daniel Bryan walks into the picture and tells Alexa that she indeed has a match against Naomi next week on Smackdown Live.

Singles Match
Jimmy Uso w/Jay Uso vs Chad Gable w/Jason Jordan

Gable wrestles Jimmy to the mat but tries to focus on the left arm of Jimmy with a seated arm bar. Jimmy hits a Samoan drop off the ropes for a two count then locks on side headlock. Jimmy sends Chad over the ropes but Gable holds on and he sends Jimmy over the ropes. Gables scores with the Alpha-plex then gets Jimmy locked in the arm bar over the top rope. Gable goes for a move in the corner but Jimmy side steps him and goes for a quick roll up, Jay Uso helps out on the outside as Jimmy holds on for the win.

Zach Ryder & Mojo Rawley are backstage talking about their escapades from the night before, they get interrupted by The Ascension. Mojo says they cant be hyped and walk away.

The music of WWE World Champion AJ Styles hits and he makes his way to the ring to deliver a message to the WWE Universe. AJ says he feels great and asks the crowd to cheer for him because they are all losers. He says they should just go cheer for John Cena but they cant do that because Cena is off doing Network TV, He then says you can root for Dean Ambrose but he’s just a loser. AJ says people may not like the way he retained his title but champions do what they have to do to win and he beat both Cena and Ambrose at the same time. AJ says Smackdown Live is the land of opportunity and hes gonna give someone a chance tonight, Dean Ambrose’s music hits. Ambrose gets on the mic and says he knows AJ isnt talking about him and that Styles doesn’t want none. Dean says he isnt done with AJ just yet and no one is gonna step in the way of that. AJ tells his opponent to come to the ring and it is none other then James Ellsworth. AJ tells Dean he is going to face Ellsworth so he should just beat it, Dean sarcastically says he wants to see this. AJ tells Dean to leave because there is no need for him to be ringside, Daniel Bryan comes out and says the match will indeed happen now. As Ambrose is set to leave the ring, Daniel Bryan says Ambrose will be the special guest referee.

Singles Match
WWE World Champion AJ Styles vs James Ellsworth (Special Guest referee:Dean Ambrose)

Styles locks up with Ellsworth then sends him in the corner, Ambrose breaks up the action before AJ can deliver a punch. Styles continues to blast away at Ellsworth, Dean blocks a shot form AJ and Ellsworth gets in a right hand to Styles. Ellsworth tries to run away and Dean trips AJ Styles, Ellsworth tries a rollup of his own but can only get a two count. Ellsworth tries to get in some offense but AJ counters into the Calf Crusher, Ambrose has his back turned so he cant see that Ellsworth is giving up. Styles sends Ellsworth to the outside and delivers a scoop slam as well as sending Ellsworth against the barrier. AJ gets Ellsworth back in the ring and he delivers the Styles Clash to James, Ambrose goes to count but wont count three. AJ gets up but Dean gives Styles the Dirty Deeds DDT, Ambrose puts James Ellsworth over AJ and counts three.

Randy Orton is backstage with Kane and Orton says he is tired of living in Bray Wyatt’s world. Randy says in his world there are no games just pain and he doesn’t listen. Randy says theres no end to his world, he then asks Kane does he want to go along for the ride and Kane says yes.

Tag Team Match
Randy Orton & Kane vs Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper

Kane starts with Harper and both men trade fore arms until Luke tags in Bray, Kane gets Wyatt into the corner and unloads with right hands. Kane sends Bray to the outside and Randy Orton goes to the outside to deliver a few shots for good measure. Orton gets the tag and he gets Harper up on the top rope and delivers a super plex to Harper. Kane gets the tag and he delivers a sidewalk slam to Harper, afterwards Bray Wyatt gets into things sending Kane back to the outside then back in the ring, Bray hits the running senton to Kane in the middle of the ring. Luke Harper comes in and both men double team Kane, Bray comes back in he puts the boots to Kane while still in the corner. Harper gets the tag and he slaps on a head lock, Kane gets away and tags Orton. Randy hits a power slam to Harper then a Lou Thesz press to Wyatt, both men go to the outside and Randy delivers two clotheslines to Bray and Harper. Randy sends Bray back into the ring, Randy hits the second rope DDT. Orton signals for the RKO but Luke Harper tries to interfere, Bray gets away and Harper super kicks Orton. Bray hits another senton to Orton turning the tides. As Randy tries to tag Kane the lights go out, when they come back on Luke Harper is standing in place of Kane. Orton turns around confused right into the Sister Abigail from Bray Wyatt. Bray covers Randy Orton and gets the three count, Kane is no where to be found.
