After a couple weeks off to get moved into our new home, Lottie and I are bAck to run down the Raw leading in to this Sunday’s Clsh of the Champions (Jay really doesn’t like them using that title but I’m OK with it).

We are in the home of the two Kings (Elvis and Jerry Lawler), Memphis, TN. Jerry wasn’t there to call the action but the regular crew was good to go.

Roman Reigns came out to start the show. He wanted to say womething but Stephanie McMahon cut him off before he could really get started. She brought out Mick Foley. They greed that things got out of hand, recently. The Power Duo set up two good matches: Rusev vs Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens vs Roman Reigns. Kevin and Roman will fight in a steel cage. Roman will battle Rusev for the US title, on Sunday. Seth will get a shot at Kevin’s Universal title on the same night. Mick started talking about how people should trust Stephanie and her decisions. Seriously? Kevin Owens agreed with me nad came out to question Foley’s sanity.

After a break, it is time for the first match. I’ve asked Jay why Raw is so filled with talking. He tells me that it builds up to a better storyline. eck with that. Just fight. Stephanie and Mick re dealing with Seth Rollins when Rusev comes up and starts griping about his situation. Tat finally leads to our first match.

Seth Rollins vs Rusev (w/Lana)
Non-Title Match

The FInish:

Rusev was ready to nail a Clothesline but missed it. Low Bridge by Seth sent the big Bulgarian sailing out of the ring. Seth rocked Rusev wit a Tope Suicida (Yes, we spent all week-end with Lucha LIbre wrestling and Jay has been throwing out Mexican wrestling terms all day). The fight goes on up the ramp and the ref reaches the 10 count.

Your Winner: Double Count-Out
Raw Ranking: 2.75 out of a possible 5

After the match, Rollins nd Rusv fought near the “new and improved” announce position. Boring. Put them back down at ringside where announce teams belong. Smile. Rollins hit a nice Cross Body off the announce table.

Mick Foley is chatting with Charlotte and Dana, backstage. Dana tried to have Foley throw out both Bayley and Sasha Banks, since neither one won, last week, in the Number One Contender Match. Foley had a better idea…put them BOTH in the title match. Charlotte and Dana are NOT happy with that news.

Raw began to really promote the Cruiserweights. I almost had to tie Jay down when they ran promos for Cedric Alexander and Brian Kendrick. He met Brian a few years before we got together and Jay talked about how nice and professional Brian is. Plus, ay is a huge fan of Cedric from his Ring of Honor days. I’m just starting to get into RoH and I’m loving it…almost as much as I love him. Grin.

Chris Jericho and Kevin Owes are giving Mick Foley a hard time. Jerico whined that Mick has never liked him. Kevin said Foley has had it out for him since Kevin won te Universal title. Whatever.

Braun Strowman vs Sin Cara

Ok..Ok…when WWE comes to town, we want to see Braun fight the former Reno Wrestling Federation champion…”Terrific” Tyson. Ok, bud, I got the request put in writing for you—Jay.

Sin Cara is one of the bigger guys to face Braun. It wasn’t nearly enough as Braun just manhandled te masked man. The end of this slaugter came when Sin tried for a Quebrada but got caught. Braun hit his Powerslam variation and it was a done deal.

Your Winner: Braun Strowman
Raw Ranking: 1.0 (better tan MOST Braun matches, but still not so good)

Sasha Banks and Bayley were getting ready for their tag team match, coming up next. They talked nicely about the “good old times”. Bayley was confident that one of them would be the new Women’s Champion, after Sunday.

Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Charlotte and Dana Brooke

The Finish:

Baley got a Hot Tag and hit a series of Double Sledge Hammers, a clubbing elbow to the back and a nice Dropkick. Bayley hit a Corner Shoulder and Jumping Double Elbows. Bayley hit a beautiful Corkscrew Back Elbow but Dana blocked te Bayley to Belly. Charlotte took Bayley out with the Big Boot.

Your Winners: Charlotte and Dana Brooke
Raw Rakning: 2.0

Seth Rollins confronted Stephanie about HHH’s actions, a few weeks back. Stephanie swore she had noting to do with what happened. She did, however, suggest tat maybe Kevin Owens was correct when he blamed Seth for allowing the World Title to go to Smackdown. Seth warned Stephanie that he would be her worst nightmare when he wins the Univesal title…because he knows all her tricks. Stepanie told Seth NOT to threaten her. Seth accused Stepanie of cracking under ther pressure of her brother’s return.

This is going to get SO ugly.

Bo Dallas cut a promo. He said he was the only person who could truly Bo-Lieve in him.

Bo Dallas vs Gary Graham (who?)

Bo just annihilated this poor guy. Put him in with Braun so both could go foward without having to do a Squash Match to get over. Bo put down Gary with a version of the Cross Rhodes. I’m sure he will have a catchy new name for it soon.

Your Winner: Bo Dallas
Raw Ranking: 1.5

We have more promotional stuff for the Cruiser Weights. Gran Metallik and T.J. Perkins are profiled. Jay got really excited to see Perkins, since they have worked together in the past in the California area.

Sheamusis interviewd about his Best of Seven series with Cesaro. Now there is a real man (Quit your pouting, Jay). Sheamus was still confident about taking the series, even though Cesaro has been catching up.

Sheamus vs Cesaro
Match 6 in the Best of 7 Series

The Finish:

Sheamus blocked the Neutralizer and hit a Back Body Drop. Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick but can’t connect. A European Uppercit…a Neutralizer and we are all knotted up at 3-3.

Your Winner: Cesaro
Raw Ranking: 3.0

Mick Foley announced that the final match in the series will happen…this Sunday at Clash of the Champions. After that, Jericho returned to gripe and cmplain agaisnt Foley. Somebody call Randy Orton and let him RKO tat loud mout jerk. Jericho’s long winded wine-a-thon makes it out tot he ring. He started running down his List of Jericho until Big Cass and Enzo Amore show up. They shut Jericho down, big time. Big Cass starts running on about Burt and Ernie and such until Primo and Epico show up. Who the Hell invited those two to the party? Then New Day show up and it turns into another very long and borin talk fest. Don’t they ever wrestle anymore?

It just keeps going downhill as Gallows and Anderson and then Sami Zayn join the bore fest party. At least Sami attacked Jericho and then all Hell broke loose.

New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) and Enzo AMore and Big Cass and Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho, Epico, Primo, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson
10-Man Tag Team Match

The Finish:

Zayn attacked Jericho after Chris umped Big E from bhind. Zayn planted Jericho with a Tornado DDT and then set for the Helluva Kick. Tha tkick took out Primo and Enzo took the tag for the win with their modified Rocket Launcher thing.

Your Winners: Enzo Amore, Big Cass, Sami Zayn, Kofi Kingston and Big E
Raw Ranking: 3.0

Mick Foley is in the ring to push the Cruiserweights. He introduces: Gran Metallik, The Brian Kendrick, Cedric Alexander and Rick Swann. They talk for a bit and Foley says the winner of the next match will get a shot at T.J. Perkins’ C-Belt on Sunday…

Rick Swann vs Gran Metallik vs Cedric Alexander vs “The” Brian Kendtick
Fatal Four Way to determine the Numbe One Contender tot he C-Title

The Finish:

This puppy was off the charts. Everyone got the chance to shine.

Kendrick locked Swann in his submission choke but Metallik made the save. Metallik went for his variation of a Driver but Ceddy escaped. He nailed the Lumbar Check but didn’t get to follow up. Brian slid in and applied the submission move and Cedric tapped out.

Your Winner (by Submission): Brian Kendrick
Raw Ranking: 4.75

Nia Jax vs Alicia Fox has been added to Sunday’s pre-show. It’s about time that they add a few big girls (like me) to the roster. Enough with the Barbie Dolls. Smile.

Kevin Owens vs Roman Reigns
Steel Cage, Non-Title Match

The Finish:

Owens nailed a huge Headbutt and ten slamemd Roman’s faceintot he cage wall. Oww. kevin talked serious trash about just who’s show it was. Roman nailed a Superman Punch and both guys went down, hard. Kevin headd towards the door and Roman started over the top. Roman reached the ground just moments before Kevin did.

Your Winner: Roman Reigns
Raw Ranking: 2.75

After the match, Rusev came out and attacked Roman. Reigns was thrown back into the ring to be decimated. Owens and Rusev are working together to try and eliminate the big Samoan but Roman gets some most unlikely aid…from SETH ROLLINS. The Architect runs down and saves the day as Raw rades into the sunset.

Peace and Love
