Money in the Bank is this coming Sunday. The final touches were put on the card and the top players got the chance to shine.

Welcome back to New Orleans, LA. I have to admit Nawlins is one of my favorite places to visit. Smile.

New Day came out to a monster pop from the crowd. They started to push the Fatal Four Way Tag Team Title Match, on Sunday, but Big E and Xavier stopped to make fun of Kofi’s shoes. Kofi said the shoes were there to show that no matter how bad the shoes (or things) might look, New Day is still going to walk out the champions.

My new favorite tag team, Enzo and Cass, came out to join the party. Enzo did the best promo on Planet Earth and then handed the reins to Big Cass. Cass promised that they were going “all in” in Vegas and walking out with the straps. Enzo and Cass don’t really have an issue with New Day, other than wanting the straps. They did take a shot at Kofi’s ugly shoes. The teams got into a bizarre innuendo-laced bit about Enzo and Francesca (the trombone).

The Vaudevillains came out to rain all over the picnic in the ring. Gotch and English took turns bragging about how great they are and how they were going to take the titles.

Enter Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. All four teams got heated and that led to our first match:

Enzo Amore, Colin “Big Cass” Cassidy, Big E and Kofi Kingston (w/Xavier Woods) vs Simon Gotch, Aiden English, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson
8-Man Tag Team Match

The Finish:

Karl hit a Big Boot. Luke then got in the match and nailed a huge Corner Splash. Gallows then unloaded on Big E with multiple Elbow Drops. Big E did manage to avoid Gallows 2nd Corner Splash. Tags to Kofi and Karl. Kofi went wild on Anderson with Clotheslines and a Dropkick. Kofi almost won the match when he connected with the Boom Drop. Kofi missed with Trouble in Paradise and then all Hell broke loose. In all the chaos, Kofi went to roll up Anderson. Gallows, however, had tagged himself in. The Club ended this match with the Magic Killer.

Your Winners: The Vaudevillains and The Club
Raw Ranking: 3.0 out of a possible 5

We then saw a flashback video of the debut of The Shield, from back at Survivor Series.

“Coach” Bob Backlund had another Life Lesson for his protégé, Darren Young.

The McMahon Siblings reunited, after Shane’s brief vacation. It appears that Shane IS going to take Raw, while Stephanie gets Smackdown. Stephanie let her brother know that she wants BOTH shows. Kane (Corporate Incarnation) walked in and said that HE should run Smackdown. Stephanie thought Kane was psychotic. Kane presented his resume, complete with a letter of recommendation from his older brother, The Undertaker. Steph took the resume and gave it to Shane. Kane has some ideas to make Smackdown great.

Elsewhere, Zack Ryder chatted with kids about how Apollo Crews embarrassed Sheamus, last week. Everyone got a good laugh, except Sheamus. Sheamus was ready to do evil things to Zack Ryder, tonight.

Raw looked at how The Shield took the fight to The Authority, a couple years back.

Titus O’Neil was on his way to the ring but got jumped by Rusev. Rusev tossed Titus around and then dragged him to the ring. Rusev put Titus in the Accolade and it took six refs to break it up.

The Ambrose Asylun:

Dean Ambrose brought out his two “Brothers”, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Dean had a great time making fun of Seth. Seth retorted that he had fun when he destroyed The Shield and when he cashed in Money in the Bank to take the World title away from Roman Reigns. Seth made sure everyone was aware that knee was now back to 100%. Seth grumbled about never losing the World title and Roman said “If you are the rightful champion, why do I have this (World title Belt)?”. Seth said Roman only has the belt because Seth’s knee gave out from the weight of carrying the company on his back. Seth discussed the great talent that Roman has beaten but Roman has never beaten HIM. Roman accused Seth of breaking up their “Family”. Roman knew Seth wanted to be “The Man’ but to do so, he would have to beat “The Guy”. Dean brought this powder keg to an end when he asked both men what would happen if he were to win Money in the Bank and immediately cash in? Seth shoved Dean into Roman, who fell backwards. Dean then launched into Seth. Seth almost got the Pedigree but Roman caught Seth with the Superman Punch. Dean then surprised his “brother” (Roman) by connecting with Dirty Deeds.

After the break, Stephanie ran into Dean, backstage. She was really pleased to see Dean step up. She decided to give him another chance to “Stand Up” by facing Chris Jericho, tonight!

Natalya and Becky Lynch took seats at the announce table as we FINALLY get to our 2nd match!

Paige vs Charlotte
Non-Title Match

The Finish:

Charlotte went out to the floor and got into a verbal spat with Becky and Nattie. Charlotte’s new BFF, Dana Brooks, tossed Charlotte back in the ring (supposedly so she would not be counted out). Paige caught Charlotte with the Ram-Paige!

Your Winner: Paige
Raw Ranking: 1.5

Renee Young interviewed Cesaro. As she did that, Sami Zayn strolled up and got in the middle of the segment. Cesaro was just so ticked off that Sami tried to steal his thunder. Heel Turn for Cesaro?

After a break, Charlotte was absolutely livid at Dana for the loss. Dana explained that she was just trying to help. Charlotte explained to her protégé that there just was no room for losers around her. That little relationship is falling apart faster than a snowball on a Vegas summer sidewalk.

Sheamus vs Zack Ryder

Sheamus immediately tore into the man who taunted him, earlier. Punches, knee strikes and kicks totally rocked Long Island Iced Z. The pendulum swung the other way when Zack Low Bridged Sheamus. Zack flew off the apron with a Dropkick. Zack pitched Sheamus back in the ring and nailed the Broski Boot. Zack rushed up the ropes and hit the Savage Elbow aka El-Bro Drop. Sheamus stunned Zack with a Hot Shot and then finished him off with the Brogue Kick.

Your Winner: Sheamus
Raw Ranking: 1.5

After the bell, Sheamus tore into Zack. He kept beating on Ryder until Apollo Crews made the save. Crews seriously embarrassed the Celtic Warrior. Those two will fight in Sunday’s Pre-Show.

Kane and Shane were chatting when Kevin Owens stopped by. Kevin wanted to talk with Stephanie. Shane explained she wasn’t there, right at the moment. Kevin decided to reveal to Shane that Alberto Del Rio showed up way late and should be removed from Money in the Bank for his lack of professionalism. Alberto Del Rio came in and went off on everyone about how he had been detained at the airport because someone told the authorities that he was a danger. Del Rio was held up for five hours and he was ticked off. Del Rio yelled in Spanish and Owens answered him in Kane finally stepped in and proposed a “Team Building Exercise”. Del Rio and Owens would have to work together to defeat the Lucha Dragons. If they could NOT beat the masked duo, Owens and Del Rio would surrender their spots in the Money in the Bank match to Sin Cara and Kalisto! Kevin thought Kane’s idea is ridiculous but Shane liked it and set it to happen.

Sami Zayn vs Cesaro

The Finish:

Sami almost got a pin following a Crossbody. Cesaro came back with the Uppercut Train on poor Sami. I love that move set. Smile. Cesaro wanted the Cesaro Swing but Sami wasn’t having any part of it. Cesaro settled for a Double Stomp. Sami came back and went up top. Cesaro saw him scale the turnbuckles and rocked him with a high-flying Dropkick. Cesaro launched Sami with a massive Superplex but couldn’t’ quite get the win. Cesaro set for his Neutralizer but Sami got free with a Back Body Drop. Sami finished off Cesaro with the Code Red.

Your Winner: Sami Zayn
Raw Ranking: 3.5

Contract Signing: John Cena and A.J. Styles

Michael Cole is presiding over this one. We just KNOW this isn’t going to end well. John Cena came out first and really sold the upcoming show, not just his own match. John also praised A.J. Styles for being one of the best in the business. He brought up Styles’ “indy” career, including New Japan. John was ready to make this official, so he asked Cole to step aside and he called out “The Phenomenal One”.

Styles bragged about turning John’s world upside down, in recent weeks. John taunted Styles by offering him 2 contracts: John Cena vs A.J. Styles OR John Cena vs The Club. John got some references to the old team name of Bullet Club, including mentioning that he would put Styles’ butt on a Bullet Train, back in Japan, and send him packing. Styles saw through John’s little game and knew Cena was just trying to rattle him. He wasn’t falling for it. Styles signed the singles contract.

Sami Zayn chatted with Shane, in the back. We then looked back at the end of Money in the Bank 2013.

Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio vs The Lucha Dragons
Money in the Bank spots on the line

The Finish:

Sin Cara dropped Owens with a Springboard Crossbody. Sin kept the pressure up with a Springboard Back Elbow and Quebrada. Del Rio was Dropkicked off the apron. Kalisto went for a Tope Suicida but Del Rio caught him and sent him sailing into the Bullpen. Owens crashed into Del Rio and was almost pinned with a Roll Up. Owens recovered and saved his (and Del Rio’s) spot in Money in the Bank with a Pop Up Powerbomb.

Your Winners: Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens
Raw Ranking: 2.5

Del Rio showed his frustration by nailing Kevin with a Superkick.

it was time for another update from Miz. He is busy filming The Marine V. he will be back to defend the Intercontinental title, soon. So much for the old 30-day rule.

After the break, we find out that all the Money in the Bank players will be at ringside to watch/work the Main Event.

Shane and Stephanie are discussing the possibility of using Kane to run Smackdown. They agreed that if you get Corporate Kane, you risk seeing Demon Kane. They make a final decision NOT to use him. Kane came up to Shane and asked if attaching a car battery to Shane’s testicles had any influence on their decision. Shane had a hard time keeping a straight face as he mentioned it didn’t help Kane’s cause. Too darn funny.

Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho

The Finish:

Jericho rocked Dean with a Back Elbow. Chris set for a Butterfly Suplex but couldn’t bring Dean off his feet. Dean messed with Chris by trying to put Jericho in his very own Walls of Jericho. When he couldn’t completely lock it in, Dean Slingshot Chris over the ropes. Jericho landed on the apron. Jericho kicked Dean and went for a Codebreaker. Dean saw it coming and blocked it. Dean took out Chris with Dirty Deeds.

Your Winner: Dean Ambrose
Raw Ranking: 2.25

After this decent match, all Hell broke loose. Del Rio, Zayn Cesaro and Owens all got in the ring and fought each other and the two men that had just battled. Jericho eventually found a ladder and set it up. He climbed the ladder and took down the Money in the Bank briefcase. Fade to black.

Before I go, I wanted to send a special shout out to my buddies in Boston. I recently learned that my old friend, Frank, introduced 1Wrestling.com to a few of his friends. So cool to hear that you guys are enjoying my work and all the stuff here on 1Wrestling.com.

Also, Tuesday would have been the 90th Birthday of my beloved grandmother, Martha. She made darn sure that her grandson got the right direction in his life. I may have stumbled but have never fully fallen. That is thanks to her. Smile.
