MY THOUGHTS ON BIG BOSSMAN BEING INDUCTED INTO THE WWE HALL OF FAME

Posted March 7th, 2016 by Bill Apter

Ray “Big Bossman” Traylor was a super-tough WWF Superstar and one of the nicest guys I had ever met in the business.

His character was a mirror-image of his real work persona as he was an actual prison guard. The Bossman character could not have been as successful with anyone in that role but Traylor.

I traveled the roads of Georgia, Virginia, North and South Carolina many times with he and Jim Cornette when Ray worked as Cornette’s bodyguard — Big Bubba Rogers. He loved the wrestling business and it’s a damn shame he is not around to see us all honor him like this.

At the time of his death in 2004 Ray was living in Dallas. It is only fitting that he be inducted into what became this Georgia boy’s adopted home — Dallas, Texas.

Congratulations to a man who was a total original — Ray “Big Bossman” Traylor.
