> Steel Domain Wrestling’s “Winter Mayhem” event in Richfield, Minnesota on January 23rd was wild, unpredictable and exciting in front of a screaming, enthusiastic crowd. The card kicked off with a “Make or Break,” over the top rope Battle Royal, wherein the order of elimination determined the evening’s matchups. The last two competitors would compete in the main event, with the winner guaranteed a shot at Northern States Heavyweight Champion Ryan Slade.
>
> The final four in the ring were Tommy Lee Curtis, Cooter, Mitch Paradise and “Temple of Terror” member “Hotshot” Danny Duggan. After Curtis and Cooter simultaneously went over the top rope, they continued to brawl outside the ring. Referees Jay Soltis and Jake Oxborough were busy breaking up that fracas and did not see Paradise eliminate Duggan. When the refs attention went back to the ring, Duggan had sneaked back in and tossed Paradise onto the floor. That’s all the officials saw and they declared Duggan the winner of the Battle Royal.
>
> In subsequent matches:
>
> Benjamin Sailer defeated Brick McCarthy.
>
> Chadwick Wentworth III was disqualified against Josh Calisto on a reversed decision after he continued the assault after the match was over.
>
> Aaron Corbin (managed by the leader of the “Temple of Terror,” the Golden Idol, scored a controversial pin over Travis Cole with an illegal use of the ropes for leverage.
>
> Cooter defeated Tommy Lee Curtis, but then was viciously attacked from behind by Curtis after the match. Curtis added insult to injury by draping the Canadian flag over Cooter’s unconscious body.
>
> In a wild main event, Mitch Paradise thwarted the efforts of Golden Idol and Aaron Corbin at ringside and dispatched “Hotshot” Danny Duggan to earn a February 20th title match with Northern States Champion Ryan Slade. After the match was over, Corbin made good on a threat he made earlier in the evening and sucker punched SDW promoter “The Architect” Ed Hellier, who has made it clear that there will be severe consequences for Corbin on the next show.
