A ROYAL RUMBLE PREVIEW & PREDICTION …

Posted January 23rd, 2016 by 1Wrestling News Team

Once again its mid January and wrestling fans have that itch because the Rumble is among us. The Royal Rumble match provides fans with every piece of why wrestling is amazing. Wether it’s the surprises, the comebacks or just the new storylines that occur during the match, the Rumble is and has been one of the significant shows the WWE has. Each year the winner of the Rumble gets that magical chance at the WWE Champion at WrestleMania. This year the prize for winning the 30-man over the top Rumble will be the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but Roman Reigns will surely have his say in the outcome.
Ever since Reigns won back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night Raw last December, he’s had his share of run-ins with the Authority. For some time now, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon have been to the two people in charge when it comes to all things WWE. When Reigns originally won the title at Survivor Series, he attacked Hunter right before Sheamus came in and cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase. The same occurrence happened after the main event at TLC when Sheamus along with help of the League of Nations retained his title against Reigns. Roman in a blind rage went after Hunter and severely injured the WWE COO after the match was over. The next night on Raw, Vince McMahon reappears after a long absence to take control of the situation and make Roman’s title rein miserable. When Reigns successfully retained his title against Sheamus on Raw a week later, Vince informed him that his title will be on the line during the Royal Rumble match. Last week we found out that Roman Reigns will be the first entrant into the Rumble this year. There has been two wrestler’s who have entered the Rumble at number one and won the match, Shawn Michaels in 1995 and Chris Benoit in 2004. While I don’t see Roman retaining his title this time, I do see a match filled with intrigue  and possible swerves. You’ve got the Triple H angle, the Wyatt’s have looked very strong lately and have proclaimed still that “anyone but Roman” is still in effect, and what of this whole AJ Styles thing? Plus with the success that NXT has been having over the past year, it begs the question of will guys like Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn show up for the Rumble?
My Prediction: Triple H
As well as the Rumble match itself, there are four other title matches plus a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match on the Kickoff Show beforehand.
