I believe it was Confucius that once said “The man who believes in an Eye for an Eye will make two men blind”. Undertaker and Brock Lesnar are on a collision course that just might leave both men damaged as never before. That and more pieces of the SummerSlam puzzle were placed, this week, on Monday Night Raw.

As expected, the show opened with a look back at the vicious fight between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar, from last week. Paul Heyman kept running off at the mouth and Taker came out to decimate him. Brock ran down to protect his mouthpiece and it took everyone in sight to try and keep them apart. Both men ended up arrested, though no charges were pressed on either man.

Tonight’s show was in one of my favorite places…OKC (Oklahoma City, OK). My mother and grandmother lived there for many years. HHH, Stephanie McMahon and Seth Rollins walked down to the ring. Michael Cole discussed how Undertaker’s resurrection benefitted Seth, at Battleground. HHH had a massive announcement. SummerSlam will expand to a 4-hour mega-event. Cool. The main event will be Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar. Seth looked irritated that someone was stealing his spotlight. HHH then explained that Big Show would face Dean Ambrose. Paige will battle Sasha Banks. Kevin Owens will be in action against Randy Orton. Cool. Team Bella (Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox) will face Charlotte and Becky Lynch. Seth stepped up and tooted his own horn about winning the World title. Seth then took credit for retaining his title against Brock Lesnar. Spin Doctoring at its finest. Seth asked everyone to stand up and proclaim him as one of the greatest World champions of all time. That didn’t get a good reaction.

It also brought out John Cena. John asked for a microphone. John wanted to interrupt Seth for being an “arrogant jackass”. John couldn’t believe Seth was calling himself the greatest ever. John considered him a joke. John reminded everyone how Seth ran form him, last week. John asked HHH and Stephanie to grant him a chance to whip Seth’s backside. John wanted a shot at the WWE World Title. Do it! Seth demanded that John Shut the Hell Up. Seth tried to tell John he needed to earn his title shot. Stephanie stopped him and asked the fans if they wanted to see the match. The roof blew off the building as the fans shouted their approval for the battle. Stephanie made it official…No, it wasn’t going to happen. Seriously? HHH made a match: John Cena vs Seth Rollins….for the United States title. The Authority then left the ring. They are possibly going to go all Jay Lethal with the booking and have a Double Champion?

So, I have been asked about the Hulk Hogan situation. I will say only the following:

The man who performs as Hulk Hogan may have said some things that are considered unacceptable in today’s politically correct society. However, I think removing him from the Hall of Fame is a SLAP IN THE FACE to the wrestling fans. It was Terry Bollea that made the comments, not his red and yellow-clad alter-ego. To those in charge: Put him back and quit knuckling under to certain groups that may be threatening your empire. I seem to remember Vince McMahon using that deplorable “N” word in a vignette with Booker T, a few years back. No one was ready to crucify Vinny Mac for hose comments.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: The above comments were those of Jay Shannon and may not necessarily reflect the feelings of 1Wrestling.com or any of its contributors).

The Miz were at ringside for the next match.

Dean Ambrose vs Big Show

Michael Cole asked Miz about Big Show’s beating from a couple weeks back. Miz dismissed it. Dean dodged a punch and went off on Show with wild shots. Shoulder Tackle by Big Show. Low Bridge put Show on the floor. Baseball Slide Dropkick and Suicide Dive by Dean. Dean went up top and went for the Ax Bomber. Big Show popped him, on the way down, and Raw cut to commercial.

Show had Dean’s legs twisted. Dean untied Show’ boot. Dean kicked away at the ribs of the much larger Show. Show sent Dean into the corner. Dean cinched in a Sleeper. Show tossed Dean off his back. Dean rolled out to the floor. Dean punched Show in the face and snapped the arm over the top rope. Dean went up top and tried for the Flying Savage Elbow. Show caught him and Flapjakced him. Show called for the Chokeslam. Dean converted it into a DDT. Dean opened up with punches and chops. Dean fought out of a Goozle. He tried for the Rebound Clothesline but fell to a Chokeslam. 1-2-not quite. Show nailed a 2nd Chokeslam. Dean rolled out to the floor and the ref started his count.

Dean slid back in the ring and Show was amazed. Show Superkicked Dean back out of the ring. Show left the ring and hit a Spear…on the floor. Dean fought up to his feet but fell back down. Dean slid in at 9. Dean then fell back out to the floor. Show went out to get the Lunatic Fringe. Dean kicked Show in the face and then went for the Suicide Dive. KO Punch to Dean’s face. The ref began the count, again. Dean just couldn’t get back in the ring before the 10 count.

Your Winner (by Count Out): Big Show
Raw Ranking: 2.5 out of a possible 5

After the match, Show looked ready to continue his assault on Dean. Ambrose stood up in defiance of the giant one. Show went to Spear Dean but Ambrose dodged him. Dean grinned at the out-cold Big Show. Miz applauded Dean for his craftiness.

Fandango vs Neville

Neville has been feuding with Star Dust, as of late. The bell rang and Fandango took the Side Headlock. Universal and Fandango blocked a Hurancanrana. Clothesline by Fandango. Knife Edge Chop and the Gory Stretch. Excellent. Neville slipped free and sent Fandango to the floor. Neville with the Twisting Flip Dive. Neville then tossed Fandango back in the ring. Red Arrow!

Your Winner: Neville
Raw Ranking: 2.75 (would have been much higher if the match hadn’t been so short)

Star Dust came on the Tron and mocked Neville. Star Dust talked about Super Heroes that Wined and Dined with Kings and Queens (nod to his recently departed famous father). Star Dust said he would “rescue” the fans from do-gooders like Neville. Weird.

Paige was in the back, talking to her associates, Charlotte and Becky Lynch. Paige was thrilled at the social media response. B.a.D. came in and said it was Stephanie McMahon that started this Revolution. Charlotte Woo’d at Sasha Banks. Paige reminded Sasha that Paige was the 1st ever NXT Women’s champion. Naomi calmed Tamina down before she went off on Becky.

Paige then came out to the ring for the next match.

Paige (w/Charlotte and Becky Lynch) vs Sasha Banks (w/ Tamina and Naomi)
Non-Title Match

They ran a promotional video about “The Boss” Sasha Banks. It is nice to finally see the WWE give the Divas an injection of fresh blood. I do miss Natalya, tho.

Paige took down Sasha but the NXT champ was back up quickly. Paige took Banks out to the floor. There was a Mexican Standoff between the two trios of women. Back in the ring, Paige yelled at Banks. Knee Strike to Banks brought a two count. Side Headlock Takeover by Paige. Paige got a couple of near falls but Banks kept kicking out. Wheelbarrow Roll Up by Banks. Knuckle Lock by Banks. Rope Run Arm Drag. Japanese Arm Drag by Paige. Both women threw Dropkicks but neither connected.

Paige stomped Sasha into the mat and oozed up her body. Headbutt led to a two count for Paige. Fallaway Slam by Paige for another 2. Team Bella came out to watch this match. Hammerlock by Paige. Sasha went for an Arm Drag but Paige kept going and took Sasha on over. Knee to the ribs by Sasha. Thrust Kick sent Sasha all the way out to the floor. Paige dove onto the entire Team B.a.D. group. Raw took another break.

Sasha had Paige trapped in a Rear Chin Lock. There was a break down between the two forces, during the break. The ref ejected everyone not directly involved in the match. Sasha rushed Paige into the corner and choked her with the boot. Team Bella watched form the back. Sasha blasted Paige and almost got the win. Sasha choked Paige on the middle rope and then struck her with the knee. Sasha struck the Nakamura pose. Paige rolled up Sasha for a two. Sasha nailed the Clothesline and got her own tow. Cross-tie Arm Bar and Knee Strikes to the back of Paige.

Paige was almost out but she refused to surrender. Paige drove Sasha into the corner, twice. Sasha then tossed Paige into the corner. Thrust Kick and Knee Strikes by Paige. Short Arm Clotheslines by Paige. Thrust Kick, after a Dropkick, let Paige go for the PTO. Sasha fought out but took a Knee Trembler to the jaw. 2 count. Sasha drew Paige into the corner and hit Shotgun Knees to get the 2 plus. Frustration was obvious on Sasha’s face. Paige put Sasha in a modified STF but Sasha got to the ropes. Back Stabber into the BankStatement.

Your Winner (By Submission): “The Boss” Sasha Banks
Raw Ranking: 3.0

Renee Young interviewed Seth Rollins. She asked him about becoming the US champ. Seth crowed about beating Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Seth knew everyone wanted to pull down Rollins with comments about his ability to win, on his own. Seth was so sick of hearing John Cena’s ramblings. Tonight, Seth was going to prove that time was passing Cena by.

Rusev and Summer Rae walked backstage. Michael Cole and JBL discussed WWE 2K16. If you pre-order the game, you can get…Arnold Schwarzenegger as a playable character. They ran a promo video with Dean Ambrose. Actually, you get The Terminator. Whatever. I was beyond disappointed when I finally got WWE 2K14 that I doubt I will get the new version. I much prefer the AAA Lucha Libre: Heroes del Ring game. (Got it on Monday afternoon).

The announcers pushed The Kliq Rules.

Rusev and Summer were in the ring. He began in Bulgarian. He then switched to English to admit he was smitten with the girl who healed his soul. Rusev said it was a woman’s privilege to obey (the three women in my house just called Rusev a name that would make a sailor blush). Rusev gave her Dog Ziggler ( a cute puppy). He also gave her a “Cold Fish”. Damn, ain’t that romantic? He named the fish, Lana.

Lana came out and told Rusev to shut up. Lana was tired of Rusev lying about her. Lana knew the fans could see right through Rusev. Lana reminded Rusev that he was looking at Lana when he kissed Summer Rae. Summer bragged about being so much better to cuddle up with. Lana kicked Summer and put her in an Arm Bar. Lana pushed Summer’s face into the dead fish. She then slapped Rusev and got out of the ring. Rusev threw the fish at Lana and missed by a mile. Summer Rae had a major meltdown, right in the center of the ring.

Raw looked back at Undertaker’s appearance on last Monday’s Raw. Taker explained why he attacked Brock, at Battleground. Taker is tired of hearing Paul and Brock brag on ending The Streak. Paul Heyman, later in the night, really poked the angry dog by constantly going off about how Brock beat Taker. Taker then showed up in the ring. Brock rushed down and the announcers bailed to avoid the carnage. It was one Hell of a fight. Brock will be on Raw, next week, to address the match.

New Day came out to distract everyone around ringside. They mocked Titus Young with a sign about the “Real Mega Dad of the Year”. Kalisto pinned Digo to take the win in all the chaos.

Your Winners: The Lucha Dragons
Raw Ranking: 3.0

Raw then looked at Bray Wyatt vs Roman Reigns, at Battleground. Luke Harper, dressed in a hoodie, attacked Roman. That allowed Bray to hit Sister Abigail and win the match. Luke Harper will officially rejoin the Wyatt Family, next.

The WWE Rewind looked at Roman Reigns vs Luke Harper, last week. Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose got involved in that chaotic contest. I can see Dean and Roman vs Bray and Luke at SummerSlam.

Bray’s music hit and the two members of the Wyatt Family made their way out to do the second Hour Turner segment. Bray took the stick and said it was a safe bet that most of the fans had a family. He wanted to know if the fans loved and cared for their families. I know I love my wife, kids, grandkids, sisters, and mom. Bray warned Dean to stay out of their business with Roman Reigns. Bray said they were there to seal Roman’s fate. “Follow the Buzzards”. Black out.

Wicked Snap Powerbomb Suplex. T Bone Suplex but Nikki made the save. Spear by Charlotte to Nikki. Becky put Alicia in the Dis-Armer. Tap Out.

Your Winners: Charlotte and Becky Lynch
Raw Ranking: 2.5

They did a quick recap of Tough Enough. I just haven’t been able to get into that show. Big Show was on there doing the Open Hand Slaps to the chest. I saw that barbaric tradition done to several good friends of mine at the old PWD Compound. Thanks to my pacemaker, I got to avoid that.
