I was there last night sitting in the stands with my daughter and son-in-law. I just wanted to be a fan and witness the tribute to Hulk Hogan (and an excellent wrestling card as well).

It was very moving to see Hulk honored ¬†at what is fondly know to wrestling fans as “The House That Hogan Built” — ¬†Madison Square Garden. What a great moment during that time when officials of Madison Square Garden had a “Hulkamania 30 Years” flag hoisted up to the rafters to join other flags spelling out iconic moments in MSG history, cementing Hulk’s legacy at the Garden.

Ric Flair, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Jimmy Hart, and Triple H all joined in the celebration. MSG staff photographer George Kalinsky revealed a wonderful image he had taken of Hogan at WrestleMania I and presented it to him.

The moment that moved me most was when Flair talked about when his son Reid died Hulk and Triple H were the two people who called him over-and-over to express their love, caring, and support.

Here’s a photo taken by my daughter Hailey (it’s not a George Kalinsky shot but it’s still good)!

Congratulations Hulk — Brother!
