WHAT HAPPENED, THIS WEEK, @ WWE RAW

Posted November 5th, 2013 by jshannon

The beginnings of Survivor Series began to fall into place. Plus, The Authority took action to quell the pending lawsuit against the WWE. What would they do?

C.M. Punk vs Luke Harper

This match came about due to the Wyatt Family’s attack on Punk, last Monday. Punk got a monster pop from the crowd. The video of the attack replayed. Bray then ushered his troops down to ringside. Raw also showed the attack on Daniel Bryan by the Wyatts.

The bell sounded and Punk tore into Luke. Punk with wild punches but Luke with a hard slap to the face. Uppercut by Luke. Luke with a Headbutt to Punk’s chest and then choked him with the knee. Punk came back with hard kicks. Rocking Uppercut by Harper. Luke punched away as JBL compared him to Frank “Bruiser” Brody. Harper with a vicious Forearm. Punk got free and blasted the daylights out of Luke. Harper sent Punk into the corner and went for a Big Boot. Punk moved and Harper ended up on the floor. Suicide Dive by Punk. Eric Rowan walked around the edge of the ring to check on his “Brother”. Raw went to break.

Rowan and Bray then joined the party to beat down on Punk. Rowan and Harper held Punk but Daniel Bryan came down to aid Punk. Daniel had a chair and wasn’t afraid to use it. Punk also got to swing the chair, at one point. The Wyatts took a powder as Daniel and Punk stood tall. I’m expecting these guys to be involved in a Survivor Series match. I was talking with my buddy, Lee, and a couple others about this situation and I expect the following:

Bray Wyatt, Eric Rowan, Luke Harper, Curtis Axel and Ryback vs Daniel Bryan, C.M. Punk, Great Khali, Santino Marella and Dolph Ziggler
Standard Survivor Series Type Match

Michael Cole sent it to a WWE.com Exclusive where HHH banned the Big Show from the WWE…for life. The announcers tried to determine if that was a “knee jerk” reaction. JBL didn’t feel it was and sent it to a video clip of Big Show knocking out HHH, last month. The fans were then told they could choose who fights Randy Orton:

1. Dolph Ziggler
2. Big E Langston
3. The Miz

After a recap of the last segment, Renee interviewed C.M. Punk. Punk knew that it wasn’t going to be a “Fair Fight”. He could accept being out-numbered as long as others could accept that he Out-Gunned him. Punk said others have issues with the Wyatts.

Michael Cole talked with Paul Heyman, on the phone. Paul was in Europe to get medical treatment for his injuries suffered at Hell in a Cell. Heyman ran down all his issues, including nasal fractures. Heyman sounded as if he were crying when he talked about being beaten, after the match. Paul felt he deserved an apology for his beating. When Cole questioned if Heyman were crying, Paul hung up without comment.

Ryback vs Great Khali

This match happened when Ryback picked on Hornswoggle. Santino got in his face and said Khali would have an issue. Ryback called them all “Freaks”.

After a quick round of commercials, it was time to get down to business. Collar and Elbow and Khali pushed Ryback back. Ryback wanted a second chance at the Collar and Elbow and ended up on his butt. Ryback with a Knife Edge Chop but Khali responded with a hard punch. Back Elbows by Khali. Open Hand Slap by Khali. Khali grabbed Ryback by the ear and slapped the chest, over and over. Ryback then pulled Santino out of the ring. Hornswoggle swatted at Ryback to distract him. Ryback chased him away and then threw Santino into the ring barrier. Ryback exited while the others tried to regain their senses.

Michael Cole talked, again, about Big Show’s banning. It was time for another clip. Big Show cost The Shield their tag team titles, 3 weeks ago. Mind you, it was a no-DQ match.

They then talked about the WWE App.

Randy Orton came out for his match against a mystery opponent. Jerry Lawler started to announce who Randy would face but Orton stopped him. Orton cut a long-winded rant about how everyone is beneath him. He didn’t really care who would be his next “victim”. Lawler made the official announcement and it was a landslide. (75%)

Randy Orton vs Big E Langston

Langston rushed Orton to the corner and hit a Running Shoulder to Orton’s ribs. Langston with a couple of hard Clotheslines. Belly to Belly by Langston into a Huge Splash. Randy with the Twisted Sister Backbreaker but it only brought Orton a 2. Randy threw Langston into the ring post and went for the Rope Assisted DDT. He planted him like a row of taters. (Flashback to my J.C. Scott days). Randy slipped into his Special Place. Langston blocked the RKO and nailed the Brick Wall. Langston wanted the Big Ending but Orton escaped and connected with the RKO.

Your Winner: Randy Orton
Raw Ranking: 3.0 (major kudos to Langston for stepping up his game).

Michael Cole talked about Big Show’s attack on Randy Orton, last week, being the final straw. HHH, again, talked about banning the Big Show for life. JBL was surprised that Big Show hadn’t been 86d earlier. They showed Big Show knocking out Brad Maddox. They also showed Big Show driving a Big Rig into an arean. Heck, Stone Cold did that for years.

The announcers then talked about the new WWE video game. I may end up getting that one, yet. Holiday Bonuses should be coming in the near future. If I get one, this year, there will be a PS3 in my office.

Summer Rae and Fandango came out and the crowd started dancing away. It was a mixed tag match.

HHH had to calm Stephanie down.

Suddenly, The Shield entered the arena. Show wanted to know what was going on. We’d have to wait until after the break to find out.

Big Show warned HHH to tread lightly. Show said he was going to be given a WWE Title Match, against Randy Orton, at Survivor Series. HHH threatened to leave Show in a puddle of his own blood. Show started to leave and said he would have his lawyer call the Board of Directors so Big Show could own the whole WWE. HHH stopped Big Show and reluctantly agreed to Big Show’s demand. Show forced HH to repeat it, over and over. HHH then decided to put Big Show in a Handicap Match.
