The Indy Buzz: Rivalry Championship Wrestling’s Commotion by the Ocean

Where: Jones Beach, New York
When: Monday, August 5, 2013

The Bandshell was full and the overflow went up onto the Boardwalk. Close to 1,000 fans total saw some fantastic action. Here’s what the great RCW fans saw:

The trio of the Iraqui Butchers defeated The Party Rangers and their partner, El Sandwich.

Kekoa, the Flyin’ Hawaiian defeated Flames. Flames had Nora from VH-1’s Mob Wives Chicago, in his corner.

Will Wagner (seconded by Hell’s Kitchen’s Chef Barret Beyer) defeated Dr. Lamar Braxton Porter

“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase came out and talked with the crowd. His message was about anti-bullying. It was a very inspiring presentation that got a great reaction from the crowd.

In the first of the Triple Main Event matches, Mike Mondo (formerly Mikey of WWE’s Spirit Squad) defeated “Luscious” Joe Sloan, in an epic battle, to become Rivalry Championship Wrestling’s 1st World Heavyweight Champion.

It was a reunion of the Dream Team, as Greg “The Hammer” Valentine teamed with Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake. The duo was successful in their match against Lou “Hot Body” Valentino and “Supernatural” Samir Ahmed

Ted DiBiase asked former WWE/ECW Superstar Matt Striker to put aside the microphone for the night and climb back in the ring. Matt agreed to do so but he had his work cut out for him. Matt was placed into a Handicap Match against “The Million Dollar Protégé”, Johnny Ova and “Superstar” Dickie Rodz. Ova, Rodz and Striker have had quite a history together. They have worked in various independent groups, over the years. This “homecoming” didn’t quite turn out as Ova and Rodz had hoped. Matt Striker defeated the duo of Johnny Ova and “Superstar” Dickie Rodz.

Rivalry Championship Wrestling would like to thanks all their fantastic fans who came out to support us, as well as the great cause of Anti-Bullying.
