Survivor Series got a major shift in talent. This week’s show came to us from the United Kingdom.

The show opened with a look at the traditional Survivor Series match. It is set to be Team Punk vs Team Foley. Foley replaced himself in the battle with Ryback. Ryback ended up destroying Cody Rhodes during the final segment.

Miz argued with Paul Heyman about how C.M. Punk ran away, last week. Heyman said it was a strategic retreat. Heyman said Miz should get on the same page with him and Punk. Miz said he didn’t need Punk. Miz then quit Team Punk. Wow!

Roll the opening credits.

Brad Maddox would be out, later, to explain his actions. Also, more fuel would be added to the A.J./Cena “relationship”.

Birmingham, England was the home for this week’s special edition of Raw.

Next week, The King Returns!

Michael Cole sent it back to last week to see all the “evidence” that Vickie Guerrero had against A.J. Lee and John Cena. Yawn. I still think it’s hilarious that A.J. Styles got a shot in on the WWE on Impact (last Thursday) about how the WWE ripped off a TNA idea. Vickie Guerrero then came out to talk to the crowd. They booed her viciously. You could barely hear Vickie’s screechings. Vickie reviewed the “scandal”. Vickie tried to out-scream the crowd…and failed. She sent it to the video footage.

John Cena arrived to shut Vickie up. John was back in the green and white gear. Vickie told Cena that he was not going to stop her. Cena took a shot at his own lack of wrestling knowledge. Too funny. Five Moves of Death come to light. Cena talked about how Vickie had relationships with Edge and Dolph Ziggler. Cena used a few British phrases to insult Vickie. Vickie now had video footage of A.J. in a bathrobe, in a hallway. She went into a room. The room was John Cena’s, maybe. Cena stepped out into the hall, in a towel. The crowd cheered Cena. Cena was putting a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. Cena accused Vickie of manipulating the truth. Vickie demanded that A.J. join them in the ring. The crowd was rabid in cheering for A.J..

“We want A.J.” rang out. A.J. showed up on the TitanTron. A.J. refused to come out to the ring. She knew if she came to the ring, she would give Vickie the beating of her life. That would cost A.J. her job. Dolph Ziggler walked up and made a very crude comment about “Everyone knows what you (A.J.) like to do”. Cena darted to the back to confront Ziggler. In the ring, Vickie cackled like a chicken with a stuck egg.

Paul Heyman offered a spot as Miz’s replacement to… Wade Barrett. THe crowd popped huge when Wade’s face came on the Tron. Wade refused the offer because he didn’t trust Heyman. He stopped and reconsidered, on one condition. Wade said Heyman would “owe him” and he wanted it in writing.

Daniel Bryan and Kane came out to a volatile crowd. Love them Brits.

Daniel Bryan vs Cody Rhodes

The crowd was totally behind Bryan. Cody with a Goldustin Uppercut. Cody choked Daniel with the boot. Cody then punched the tag champ. Daniel ran the turnbuckles and hit a Flying Clothesline. Bryan with sharp kicks. Cody with a hard kick but Bryan flipped Cody over the top rope. I think the fans appreciate that Bryan was trained by William Regal. Damien Sandow attacked Kane, on the flor. Daniel Bryan then used a Tope Suicida to negate Sandow. Disaster Kick, on the apron, by Cody. Cody got back in the ring and planted Daniel with the CrossRhodes.

Your Winner: Cody Rhodes
Grade: B- (82%)

Cody got on the house microphone and crowed about how great the team of Team Rhodes Scholar are. Cody said Sandow could beat Kane, just as easily. Kane palmed Sandow’s head and drew him into the ring. Sandow scooted to the outside as Raw took a break.

Damien Sandow vs Kane

Kane was ripping at Sandow’s face as the show continued. Kane with an Elbow Drop. 2 count only. Back Body Drop by Kane. Kane with brutal punches, in the corner. Sandow kicked the knee nad punched away. Kane shoved Sandow away but Sandow came back to attack Kane. Back Elbow by Sandow. Sandow flew off the ropes and Kane dropped him. Cody tried to distract Kane but Daniel Bryan pulled him off the apron. Cody and Daniel darted through the ring. The ref sent Daniel to the back. Cody was also ejected. Sandow got a lot of time to breathe. Sandow tried to talk to Kane. Lotsa luck, skippy.

Kane sent Sandow to the corners and hit Clothesliens. Sidewalk Slam by Kane into the Kane Klothesline. Chokeslam! Count to 100, this bad boy’s a done deal.

Your Winner: Kane
Grade: B- (80%)

Michael Cole brought out Brad Maddox. Brad, who was trained by Earl Hebner, said what happened at Hell in a Cell was all his idea. He said he wanted to be a WWE Superstar. He has trained in both OVW and FCW as a wrestler. He said he tried, for years, to get his foot in the door. He ran down all the stuff that he has done to try and get a break, including spending $ 2,000 for a try-out. He mentioned working in developmental and getting passed over because he wasn’t as flashy as others. He whined about being told he would never get to the main roster. He wanted to prove everyone wrong. He said he would do whatever needed to get to WWE. He took the ref spot to get his foot in the door. Maddox swore Punk had no idea that Maddox was going to pull the move to make an impact. He wanted to be a somebody. He yelled about how famous he is, now. “Feed me More!” rang out. Brad said he still had the dream to be a WWE Superstar. He wanted a contract….and a match with Ryback! Really? Death wish?

Enter Vince McMahon! The crowd went absolutely nuts to see the Chairman. Vince mocked Brad’s desire for a contract and match with Ryback. Vince didn’t think Brad did this on his own and he would get to the bottom of it. Vince said he would give Brad a Million Dollar Contract, if he were to beat Ryback…next week. Vince then stepped to the back for a second.

He came back out with Vickie Guerrero. Vince asked Vickie if she felt Punk was involved in the Hell in a Cell mess. She reluctantly agreed. Vince said Punk should defend his WWE title at Survivor Series. Vickie thought Dolph Ziggler should face C.M. Punk. Vince was more interested in Ryback getting the shot. Vince wanted a Triple Threat Match. She started to say Dolph Ziggler but he threatened to fire her on the spot if he mentioned Dolph. Vickie didn’t think John Cena should get a shot, because of the scandal. Vince forced Vickie to put John Cena in as the third man in the fight.

Sheamus came out as Vickie and Vince headed to the back. Sheamus would fight The Miz, next.

Sheamus vs The Miz

Big Show followed Miz out from the back. They were not together. Show had the World title draped over his shoulder. Raw showed Sheamus catching Big Show in White Noise. That was incredible. Show joined the announce team for the match.

Sheamus with a Side Headlock into a Shoulder Tackle. Side Headlock Takeover by Sheamus. universal into a Clothesline by Sheamus. Miz bailed out of the ring to avoid the Crossfaces in the ropes. Back Heel Trip into Elbow Drops by Sheamus. Miz with a kick tothe chest and a corner mugging. Sheamus clubbed the back of Miz. Show said he would knock out Sheamus at Survivor Series. Celtic Plunge by Sheamus. Miz kicked Sheamus in the chest and nailed a Clothesline. Miz punched Sheamus in the face, over and over. Rear Chin Lock by Miz. Miz flipped out of a Back Drop Suplex. Sheamus and Miz blocked Suplexes. Sheamus dropped Miz over the top rope and then nailed the Crossfaces, in the ropes. Miz crumbled to the arena floor. Miz ran Sheamus into the announce table and then the ring post. Back in the ring, Miz with a Running Boot for two. Show giggled as Miz took control. Raw, on the other hand, took a break.

Miz reversed an Irish Whip into the Full Body Clothesline. Ax Bomber by Miz. Miz choked Sheamus on the ropes. Miz rammed Sheamus’ face into the ring apron. The two went to the floor and Miz whipped Sheamus into the steel steps. Show tried to intimidate Cole, which worked. The two were back in the ring and Miz jumped on Sheamus’ back to apply a Sleeper.

Sheamus got free, only to fall victim to the Reality Check by Miz. Miz kicked Sheamus’ ribs and stood on the throat. Miz choked and punched Sheamus. This match was getting a bit boring, according to the crowd. Miz went for another Full Body Clothesline but Sheamus exploded on Miz. Million Dollar Kneelift by Sheamus. Powerslam by Sheamus. Sheamus with a Battering Ram off the top turnbuckle. Miz escaped White Noise and rolled up Sheamus for two. DDT after kicking Sheamus in the knee. Miz missed a Running Knee Strike. Sheamus tried to lock in the Four Leaf Cloverleaf. Miz wanted the Skull Crushing Finale but Sheamus blocked it. White Noise by Sheamus. The crowd wanted the Brogue Kick…and they got it.

Your Winner: Sheamus
Grade: B (85%)

Big Show stood up and showed his World title to Sheamus.

Back at Mr. McMahon’s office, Dolph Ziggler paced. Vickie came out and said Dolph was now the new Team Captain of what had been Team Punk. C.M. Punk came up and complained that Vince was screwing him over. He said Vince has a habit of screwing people at Survivor Series. Vickie told Punk that he and Dolph would face John Cena and Ryback, in tonight’s main event. Punk wanted to know what was wrong with Vickie.

JR and Cole looked at the new footage that Vickie presented earlier. Good grief this is so lame.

Eve Torres and Aksana vs Layla and Kaitlyn

Eve hit the ropes to cause Layla to fall in her Float Over attempt. Horrible Hair Throw by Aksana. Is there any wonder why the Divas division is dying? The rowdy crowd went almost silent during this boring contest. Aksana teased the crowd and whipped Layla to her corner. Tag to Eve. Eve went to the top and did a Hangman’s Choke. Elbow Drop to Layla’s back. Front Face Lock by Eve. I need some stronger tea to stay awake for this one. Kaitlyn tried to get in but the ref pushed her back. Roll-up by Layla for two. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez were chatting, in Spanglish. Ricardo said it should be Team Del Rio. Alberto ran into Rosa, literally.

Kofi Kingston vs Alberto Del Rio
Non-Title Match

Ricardo did the introduction. Alberto came out in a James Bond-like Astin Martin DB9. Nice ride but I still prefer my pickup truck. Raw looked at the fight between Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio, on Smackdown, that ended up in catering. Even Matt Striker got a face full of cake. ADR frowned at seeing the footage.

Heath Slater (w/Jindar Mahal) vs Jey Uso (w/Jimmy Uso)

Cole and JR looked at WWE 13. Maybe, if Santa leaves a PS3 under my tree, I’ll get myself a copy of the game. Actually, I’ve been playing Backyard Wrestling: Don’t Try This at Home. The game is nearly a decade old but it is still a lot of fun.

C.M. Punk (w/Paul Heyman) and Dolph Ziggler vs John Cena and Ryback

Punk came out and grumbled about how people said he had something to do with the actions of Brad Maddox. Punk said Vince was going to, again, screw his top talent at Survivor Series. Get him some cheese to go along with that whine. Punk said he was better than everyone in the company. He said he set the bar to a level that no one could reach. Punk said he would celebrate day 364 of his title reign, after Survivor Series finished. The other three men in the match arrived: Dolph, Cena and then Ryback.

Who should replace Ryback on Team Foley? Hmm…Foley himself, The Rock (nah), Undertaker (not likely), Miz?, Chris Jericho? Christian? It’s an open question that should be answered in the next few days.
