NWA Ring Warriors announces full lineup including Double Main Event for Jan. 18th ‘Dark City Rising’.
NWA National Heavyweight Champ Chance Prophet and Challenger Kahagas squared off for the first time ever on Dec. 14th. They collide again on Jan. 18th (December 30, 2011) Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – NWA Ring Warriors today announced the full lineup for its “Dark City Rising” card, to be held on Wednesday night, January 18th at the historical Fort Lauderdale National Guard Armory, 400 State Road 84, Fort Lauderdale for a 7:30 bell time.
The first of two main events features a Six-man Tag Team All-Star Battle pitting the team of the current NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Dark City Fight Club (Jon Davis & Kory Chavis) and partner Vordell Walker, against the trio of “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn and former World Wrestling Entertainment and National Wrestling Alliance World Tag Team Champions, Mosh & Thrasher, also known as the Head Bangers.
In the second main event match up, current NWA National Heavyweight Champion,“The Dark Child” Chance Prophet returns to the Sunshine State to once again collide with theTokyo Monster Kahagas. The last time these two squared off, the match ended in a wild double disqualification with both men brawling out of the ring and into the crowd and neither gaining the upper hand; reminiscent of the historical NWA battles between Abdullah the Butcher and the Original Sheik more than 30 years ago.
Other matches on the card feature the second round Semi-Final pairings for the NWA Ring Warriors Grand Championship Tournament. “The Marquee” Bruce Santee, who defeated J.D. Maverick in the first round will squared off against “The VIP” Cassidy Riley, who bested Francisco Ciatso; and Steve “The Moose” Madison, who upended second-generation competitor Wes Brisco first go around takes on the 7-foot 300-plus pound Giant Titan, who eliminated Vordell Walker in the opening round.
Speaking of Ciatso, the self proclaimed “King of Florida” returns to Fort Lauderdale with his longtime manager and former tag team partner Pete Cannon, to lock horns with local favorite and former WWE performer Pablo Marquez.
And finally, the NWA Ring Warriors’ ladies division kicks off on January 18th with a match between the lovely Santana Garrett and the mischievous Christina Von Eerie.
