•The show opened with an injured Booker T on the arena floor after he was attacked by Cody Rhodes for the second week in a row. Due to Booker’s injuries at the hands of Cody Rhodes, Cody took Booker’s place at the commentating table with Josh Matthews and Michael Cole.

•In a “Beat the Clock Challenge Match,” Wade Barrett defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 7:53. Later in the show, Randy Orton had to face Dolph Ziggler and beat him before the 7:53 mark. If he did not, then Wade Barrett would be able to pick the stipulation for his match against Randy Orton at TLC – which would either be a tables, ladders, or chairs match. At the end of the match, Barrett said that he is the only voice in Randy Orton’s head.

•Zack Ryder defeated Heath Slater.

•Ted DiBiase defeated Jinder Mahal with a small package.

•With Hornswaggle as the guest ring announcer, now that he has the ability to speak, Sheamus defeated David Otunga with the Brogue Kick.

•Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes defeated Daniel Bryan by Disqualification due to interference by Booker T, who attacked Cody in retribution for the attack at the opening of the show. After the match, Cody went into SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long’s office backstage and demanded a match against Booker T – and Teddy gave him the match at TLC.

•In the second “Beat the Clock Challenge Match” of the night, Randy Orton defeated United States Champion Dolph Ziggler with 0:02 seconds remaining on the clock – giving Randy the opportunity to choose the stipulation for his match at TLC against Wade Barrett. During the match, Wade Barrett came out of the audience and attacked Randy outside the ring. After Randy won, Wade tried to put Randy through a table outside the ring, but Randy fought him off and put Dolph through the table instead – indicating that at TLC – their match would be a tables match when the show went off the air.
