And only going to go lower and lower. WWE picked a bad time to have some of the worst shows in recent memory on.

Watch how quickly they yank an hour. It is coming.

It may help if they turned up the intensity. Sometimes wrestlers like Chris Jericho talk about being the best. But usually, as far as I can remember, they’re just focusing on rivalries with the ideas and story lines lately. I do like the Nexus thing a lot. But they use the yellow and black colors for them so much that it’s hard for me to think of them as individual competitors, each ready to take a world title. Besides they’re portrayed as new wrestlers, sort of like rookies. Which I also like for what it is.

On the other hand, on TNA Impact, you have top wrestlers like Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and more. A good number of them. And they’re using pro wrestling itself in this ongoing angle and focus. I think TNA is successfully creating the feeling that all the significance of pro wrestling and the industry comes right down to the matches we see on the Impact Zone and their pay-per-view events. The matches to find out who will get the vacated world title. Kurt Angle’s mission to win the title.

On WWE programming, I just get the feeling the wrestlers are fighting for the championship title that represents the WWE and pro wrestling within their television programming. On TNA programming, I get the feeling they’re fighting for a title that represents pro wrestling itself. Everyone involved in doing this on TNA is doing an excellent job and I get a kick out of watching their weekly show. I just wish there was an Impact show this week. I’ll definitely tune in next week.

RAW needs something big to happen and soon. Maybe someone new needs to enter the main event picture and take the title unexpectedly to bring back that “anything can happen in the WWE” aura to the shows. Maybe they need to go out and sign someone to make a big return. Maybe they need to have a certain someone pull a heel turn (cough Cena). All I know is that something needs to change soon or a few months from now a 3.0 rating might start looking good to them.
