Condolences! by Fidel Sierra the Cuban Assassin and Fantasy

We would like to express our condolences to Luna’s family, friends and fans. And even though we had not spoken with Luna for quite some time, she was someone we considered a friend, someone we respected and someone who will be missed.

I remember as if it was yesterday when Kevin Sullivan brought her in as a reporter when we were all working the Florida Territory and all the good times we had. There are a lot of great memories but one thing that really stuck in my mind was, how, when I brought in Fantasy many years later, Luna always looked out for her. That meant a lot to us and we will never forget it.
Luna was someone who not only had a big impact on the wrestling business but on us personally as well. She was old school and in a league all of her own and of the reasons why the old days very so unique. May she rest in peace along with the many other legends who have gone before her.
I would also like to take the opportunity to express my condolences to the family and friends of some of the others that have passed away recently. It seems that during the past few months every time I went on line, someone else has passed away. And even though we might not have known every single one of them like Lance Cade (may he rest in peace), they were still one of us.
Skandor Akbar on the other hand I knew very well. We first met in 1978 working the Mid Atlantic Territory and made many a trips together. To those who were around during that time, I need not say more. But regardless of all his accomplishments Akbar was a great person and he helped me a lot and I appreciate it to this day and respect him for it.
Tough Tony Borne was a legend in his own right and his name was well deserved. I know first hand because I teamed up many of times with Rip Oliver against Tony and his son Matt. We had some good times and some great feuds not easily forgotten.
Time flies and life has a way of getting in the way of the important things and bog you down in the inconsequential stuff. We all have the tendency to procrastinate, thinking there is plenty of time, but the truth is, none of us know what is waiting for us around the corner or the next minute or even the next second, so make sure you take the time to do or say the things that matter. You never know what can make the difference in someone else’s life or even your own.
God Bless, and may they all rest in peace! They will be missed!
