Posted June 28th, 2007 by admin

TMZ.com is reporting that Dr. Phil Astin, Chris Benoit’s personal physician, had his medical license suspended in 2001 for “reasons related to competence or character.”

Astin’s license was suspended for three months and he was fined $500 in 2001. His father, also a doctor, was suspended in 2002 for unprofessional conduct by overprescribing a variety of drugs to various patients.

Chris Benoit visited Dr. Astin’s office on Friday, just a few hours prior to returning home and killing his wife and son. Authorities conducted a raid last night of Dr. Astin’s office and confiscated computers and medical records.
